MOON KNIGHT Social Media Reactions Promises A "Bonkers" MCU Experience That May Be Marvel's Best TV Show Yet

A screening of the first four episodes took place in the UK last night, and that means we have reactions! Find out what critics think about the "bonkers" new Disney+ Marvel Studios series after the jump...

Disney+ held a screening of Moon Knight's first four episodes in the UK yesterday, and the first reactions to the series have now been revealed. However, these are only from a small handful of journalists; other critics won't get screeners until later this week, so we'll see more reactions then.

For now, though, it's clear people have loved what they've seen. Typically, Marvel Studios only shares the first episode or two for a show like this, so the fact that they're giving critics two-thirds of the series is certainly interesting. It sounds like some of the people listed below will need to see the final two instalments before being 100% sold, but for the most part, the response has been glowing.

There are comparisons to Indiana Jones and National Treasure, while it definitely sounds like we can expect Moon Knight to feature a strong horror vibe. It also looks like we're in store for a suitably "bonkers" ride, and reading between the lines, that the biggest surprises are being saved for the finale.

Moon Knight's first episode arrives on Disney+ on March 30.

@Toonstrack - Hawkeye was decent and a bit of fun. But great? The finale holds it back from being impactful.

Love Kate Bishop though.

@Saga - what was wrong with Hawkeye? Aside from the obvious twists and Fisk being watered down and reduced to a joke - I loved it

@Toonstrack - Right there with you. Hawkeye was a blast with only a few things I could complain about.

Yeah, this one looks good.

Hope it delivers cause I wasn't really into the last D+ series (Hawkeye was specially underwhelming to me).

I’m nervous about Moon Knight.

@regularmovieguy - I’m mostly in for Isaac, with a little sprinkling of Hawke. The former’s just too exciting of an actor to not be excited for, and the latter’s one of the best in the game.
Less sold on the writers and the fact that these D+ shows have largely felt like misses for me

@Reeds2Much - Some people love to hyperbole lol. Hard to take these silly opinions seriously. Just say he's great and move on.

Sillier aspects?

Are they putting humor again where it shouldn't be?

Don't take me as a hater, I'm still hyped af for this show.

@UXASIS - Haven't read much Moon Knight, have you?

@Visualiza - I've own his 2016 (not very popular) run and I am reading his current (Jed MaCkay) series. I plan to read Warren Ellis and Jeff Lemire before I watch the show.

Yes, he has some fun parts, but I definitely wouldn't describe him as silly or goofy.

From that description, I expect Marvel to show Khonshu's arse (as in Ragnarok) just to make a few kids laugh.

I don't see Moon Knight as Deadpool either, even tho they are both crazy and say jokes.

@UXASIS - Sounds like you've got a lot of catching up to do if that's all the MK you've read. And humor isn't only for kids, bud. Your media isn't mature simply because its grimdark.
UXASIS
UXASIS - 3/23/2022, 12:03 PM
@Visualiza - I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, of course humor isn't only for kids. But I think there are differences, and there can be ''childish'' and ''smart'' humor.

For example, I don't find Gunn's dialog (butt/sex jokes in GOtG, TSS, Peacemaker) funny, like at all, so I hope MK is better than that. I really liked the trailer, and I laughed during the elevator scene, so I hope the show will be fun in that way.

And yeah, as I said I plan to read the quality side of MK asap.

The fact that they showed 4 episodes instead of the normal 2 is a good sign

interesting they got to see 4 episodes now instead of the typical 3 or 2 eps for review, nice to see a change of pace on that regard.

I wouldn't be surprised if MK a ends up being a bit divisive, which could mean that the MCU is mixing it again and trying new stuff.

I can almost taste this f*cking show.

I don't even know why I'm so excited since I know nothing about the character except for the tl;dr basics, but damn, there's something about him that just GRABS me.
