Muslims across the world are celebrating Eid today, and to mark this very special occasion, Marvel Studios has shared a wonderful new poster for upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel by Shehzil Malik.
Celebrating Kamala Khan's heritage, this serves as a welcome reminder that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will soon introduce one of its greatest Muslim characters. If what we've seen from the show is any indication, then it won't shy away from exploring Ms. Marvel's religion and what that means to her.
We're anticipating a new trailer for the show dropping soon, though Marvel Studios will likely wait until Moon Knight has wrapped up and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is playing in theaters.
Take a look at this new poster for Ms. Marvel below:
"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"
We recently learned that joining Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Bisha K. Ali is the show's Head Writer, while episodes were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
Ms. Marvel premieres on Disney+ on June 8.
