She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Tatiana Maslany has shared her future hopes for Jennifer Walters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, suggesting the hero could soon be thrown into the thick of the Multiverse.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was met with a positive response from critics last year, but many fans still took issue with the Disney+ series. The VFX (at times) definitely wasn't as good as we've come to expect from Marvel Studios, while the weird finale was nothing if not divisive.

Despite the expected backlash to a female-led series, there's still a lot of excitement to see more of Jennifer Walters in the MCU. While it was once rumoured that the hero would make an appearance in Captain America: New World Order, there's been no update on that front, and we still don't know what's going on with the supposed World War Hulk project.

Recently, actress Tatiana Maslany spoke with Gold Derby and shared some of her hopes for She-Hulk moving forward.

"I feel like the internet knows more than I do," she laughed. "But I'd love to see what, I'd love to put her - as we had so many other actors come to our show and tonally shift their character. Put him or her in like a totally different scenario, a different universe - which is so fun about the Marvel universe is that there are multiple."

"There's a Multiverse, I didn't know if you're aware, but there is a Multiverse. But putting her in a situation that is very unlikely, I think that would be super fun," Maslany continued. "The thing about She-Hulk, to me, is that she's so out of place, and that out-of-placeness, I think has got legs."

There's been no mention of She-Hulk getting a second season, but the character is bound to factor into movies like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars

We've heard rumblings that the latter will serve as a final farewell to the original six Avengers, leaving the door open to Jen becoming the MCU's main Hulk. That might be controversial but seems like a logical next step.

What are your hopes for She-Hulk on screen moving forward?

Let's just wait and see if the MCU has a future. Should know soon.

@MarvelousMarty - The movies have been making less money, but still a considerable amount. Even if Marvel stopped making 1 billion dollar movies altogether (which probably won't be the case), that wouldn't be reason enough for them to drop the whole MCU.

@MarvelousMarty - this modern edge-lord trend of wanting the MCU to fail is so strange. Especially for people visiting a comic book movie message board. It's like somehow all the great projects become invalid because the internet doesn't like some recent ones. If i was Feige i think i would thinking of this giph

@TheManWithoutFear - its weird. Its like people are rooting it for it to fail.

@TheManWithoutFear - bunch of no-influence randos who actually think that The Mouse is going to dismantle an entire wing of their California Parks Division simy cause they typed a couple of negative words on a keyboard

It’s actually comically bad

@TheManWithoutFear - I don't want the MCU to fail, I want them to make movies I can get excited for again and stop pushing their shitty agenda.

Hate her series all you want but that was exactly the She-Hulk I remember.

@Fogs - An annoying character with a horrible series?

@Urubrodi - maybe, just maybe, you're not the target in this case. I liked it for what it was.

@Fogs - Considering the massive backlash that this series got (e.g. 33% audience score or just from reading any comment section about this show) looks like it was a very laser focused audience they were targetting

@Urubrodi - lol, possibly. See, I'm not saying it was a good move, I for one prefer a more serious tone. But I get what they tried and don't hate it despite having obvious flaws.

I'm not a fan of the show but I like the character and actress. Wouldn't mind her showing up in something with a better script.

@HOTSHOT - i agree on this. She did good with that she was given. the show itself was up and down for me... more misses than hits.. but i don't hate her or the character and would like to see her in more shows/movies wit better writing

I didn't hate the series, maybe the finale and the "final villain", but overall it really did feel like a Sensational She-Hulk run

I am glad the mcu world has grown and we have so many characters but the catch 22 is I don’t care about any of these new characters. On top of that there was not one movie since end game or show that I was like this is amazing maybe Wanda vision and Loki everything else was just ok. Even spider man you take the spidermen out of it it was just a ok movie.

@Grodd87 - right “Iron Man” was just ok without Iron Man, not that good when it was simply “ “

"Despite the expected backlash to a female-led series," - Why would you call out all the women and girls, that were vocal about disliking the show, due to the writing like this?!
Origame
Origame - 4/14/2023, 6:50 AM
@WarMonkey - gotta paint that narrative. Especially since female led shows like yellowjacket and wednesday don't get this backlash.

Wonder why..
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 4/14/2023, 7:04 AM
@Origame - Probably due to the demographics of the in-built audience of this stuff.
Wednesday was the biggest Mary-Sue imaginable but nobody complained because there weren't a lot of grumpy people who cared enough.

And it was well-directed I guess.
Origame
Origame - 4/14/2023, 7:32 AM
@ObserverIO - how was she a Mary Sue? I don't think you understand the trope.
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 4/14/2023, 7:48 AM
@Origame - Just watch the show and keep it in mind. Everything happens very conveniently. She's good at everything and every time there is a conflict she overcomes it because she's Wednesday. It's actually a much better example than Rey Skywalker ever was.
Origame
Origame - 4/14/2023, 8:04 AM
@ObserverIO - 1) convenient things happening isn't the trope. It's only in relation to her skills.

2) she isn't good at everything. Specifically social skills, which turns plenty of people against her.

3) she doesn't just overcome everything because she's wednesday. In fact most of the problems "overcome" are stuff like getting out of dying. She had no way of fighting the Hyde until her friend finally became a werewolf, she failed in the investigation to the point of getting one of her love interests arrested (when he was innocent), she pissed off her room mate to the point she had her transfered to another room, her martial arts skills are explained as being from the training of her uncle (who is better at fighting than her), she got a friend sent to the hospital because of her mistake and makes it clear it was her mistake, and she got beat by the main villain, only to survive thanks to her ancestor.

4) there is no better example of a Mary Sue than rey palpatine.
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 4/14/2023, 8:11 AM
@Origame - I could use similar arguments to defend Rey, but the fact is that this is one of (if not the) only examples of the 'Is Wednesday a Mary Sue' debate on the internet. It is a valid consideration. Whereas the 'Is Rey a Mary Sue' debate has and will continue to rage because it's Star Wars and Star Wars is important to people.

I enjoyed watching Wednesday be able to handle anything thrown at her because it's a power fantasy and because it's well-directed and fun. But it's also bad writing.
Origame
Origame - 4/14/2023, 8:25 AM
@ObserverIO - ...no you really can't. This really just comes across as wanting to defend rey out of nowhere.
Shivermetimbers
Shivermetimbers - 4/14/2023, 9:42 AM
@Origame - Captain Marvel is more of a Mary Sue to me.
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 4/14/2023, 9:46 AM
@Origame - If it comes across that way then it's coming across wrong. I couldn't give two shits about Rey. My point is that Star Wars and Marvel has a much more passionate fanbase than The Addams Family. A fanbase that is way more likely to be hyper-critical. There also seems to be a larger contingent of people who gatekeep against things like female leads.
Origame
Origame - 4/14/2023, 9:49 AM
@ObserverIO - well you're bringing rey up out of nowhere.

ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 4/14/2023, 10:00 AM
@Origame - You brought up the fact that Wednesday was a female show that didn't get backlash. I was pointing out that there could have been backlash about her being a Mary Sue. Who do you think I could compare her to as a good example of a female character in a geek franchise that got a lot of backlash for being a Mary Sue? Rey is the perfect example for a comparative basis.
Origame
Origame - 4/14/2023, 10:06 AM
@ObserverIO - 1) well there wasn't, because she's not. I didn't even bring up her being a Mary Sue. Just implying she's a poorly written character.
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 4/14/2023, 10:27 AM
@Origame - I brought up the Mary Sue thing for both Wednesday and Rey.

You brought up that Wednesday was well received. I brought up that she could have been criticised for being a Mary Sue and then brought up the criticisms of Rey being a Mary Sue for comparison.
Origame
Origame - 4/14/2023, 11:21 AM
@ObserverIO - well she could have been. But she wasn't, and I pointed out why. She made genuine mistakes and needed people to help and for her to grow.

She hulk and rey didnt.
