Even though, NBC's action-comedy, Chuck said its final goodbye a little over than 2 years ago, fans of the show have always hoped for some sort of return for Team Bartowski. With other beloved cult classics like Arrested Development and Veronica Mars making recent returns, it's fair to ask, could Chuck be next? Entertainment Weekly recently sat down with series co-creator, Josh Schwartz to discuss the possibility.

Schwartz begins his interview by discussing how the recent revival of Veronica Mars really started raising a few questions about a potential Chuck return. He does acknowledge the different circumstances behind the end of Chuck and the end of Veronica Mars, with the latter ending prior to a planned fourth season. "We were very fortunate with Chuck. As much as we always felt the end was coming, we did get five seasons of the show and an opportunity to tell a lot of story." He goes on to say how only an extraordinary story would bring him and other co-creator, Chris Fedak, back to Chuck's world.

Addressing how to return from the seemingly cliffhanger ending, Schwartz says "You’re starting off with a question to answer certainly, and it’s a spy story so there’s always a new a mission, there’s always a new bad guy, there’s always a new need for Chuck to save the day." While he admits to not having any particular story in mind for a future Chuck adventure, he does admit that series star, Zachary Levi might have a few ideas in mind. "I think Zach Levi has some ideas and he’s an imaginative guy and a real storyteller."

While nothing is imminent, he does say as the days go by, he is more and more inclined to return to the show. When asked about the format he would choose for Chuck to return, he seems to favor a movie, but does seem intrigued about returning through a Marvel/Netflix hybrid model. "Maybe we’d do it Avengers style where you follow Sarah and Chuck on a mission, you’ve got Casey on a mission, you’ve got Jeffster on tour, and then the final season is everyone gets together. He would also hope to bring back Ellie and Captain Awesome along with Linda Hamilton as Chuck's mother.

I hope not. An end is an end. Chuck ended on a good note, don't get greedy. No need for a return.

I was literally just watching Chuck again last night, having followed the show when it was on.

I know a lot of people weren't happy with the uncertainty of the ending, I enjoyed it, and thought it was the perfect way to end the show - the first couple years were about whether or not Chuck could trust Sarah, so it ended with Sarah deciding to trust Chuck and take the chance. I liked it.

That's the only reason I'm actually uncertain about a continuation. While I'd love more stories, I dread the possibility that they would have to answer that question.

I didn't think the show quite recovered after abandoning the everyman component, but it was wrapped in a way that made a lot of sense (and broke a lot of hearts), so don't just bring it back because you can.

If there are stories to tell and ways to make it feel additive, then I wouldn't mind more Chuck. Zachary Levi is super loveable, and nobody seems to realise how awesome Yvonne Strahovski could be if given the right material. Wasted on being Jason "blend into wallpaper" Statham's generic movie girlfriend. Five years of kicking butt and she's relegated to damsel in distress. Audible grunt.

Zach Levi would make a good Multiple Man, I think.

I reckon the first two seasons are brilliant, and it doesn't maintain those heights, but it's still one of my favourite shows, I think.

The more Chuck the better. I've never had so much fun watching a TV show as I had with Chuck, as weird as that may sound. All the seasons were great, but obviously seasons one and two were the best. Thought the finale was good too.

I loved chuck, it ended on a good note, one of the best endings to a series I've seen. I won't say no to more chuck, especially if its a movie, cause it won't drag on as a series can.

Oh wow, I loved this show! I even went through and watched the whole series again on Netflix a couple of months ago. I wished the show would've had more seasons, but it's best to go out on a high note.

I think doing a Chuck movie would be a better way to go. I just can't help but think when a TV show is revived, it ends up failing to live up to the original show.

I just don't want Chuck season 6 to end up being like Scrubs season 9. That was a bad move to revive the show after season 8 had the perfect series finale. Beyond that, I wouldn't complain about a new comic series and/or a Chuck video game either.
