Fans always knew there were big things in store for Millarworld as soon as Netflix bought the label. One of the most surprising moves since has been Netflix's status as a comic book publisher. The Magic Order, their first comic book series, is now officially getting a television order.

In addition to this exciting news, a creative team has also been set in stone for the pilot. Netlix has announced that Aquaman's James Wan will be directing and executive producting the series' first episode, while Chaos Walking's Lindsay Beer will be serving as showrunner for the whole season. This will be Wan's first directing credit since taking on the 2018 DC Comics adaptation.

As long as this keeps him from producing butchering crap like the Curse of La Llorona, everything is good.

There's almost no reason to read Mark Millar books anymore since they're all just pitches to studios to film. Any word on when Huck is coming out on Netflix?

No wonder Millar was saying Aquaman’sp FX made Marvel movies look outdated. He was already cooking up something with Wan and was riding his dick.

As soon as they announced this as the first Netflix comic, I basically horded variants (all first prints) so I'm sincerely hoping this does well to increase their value.

That and the story was brilliant; as is James Wan (in my opinion!). Can't wait.

Harry Potter meets The Sopranos was one comment and if they flesh out some of the relationships in the series, then that'll be an apt observation. Can't wait to see The Venetian on-screen!

I'm there for anything with James Wan's name on it, so I'll most likely check this out.
