THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT Concept Art Spotlights The N-1 Starfighter, [SPOILER]'s Brutal Battle, & More

Disney+ has now released some official concept art for Chapter 5 of The Book of Boba Fett, "The Return of The Mandalorian."

As the title makes abundantly clear, this episode reintroduced Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), who rejoins his fellow Mandalorians only to be challenged for the right to wield the Darksaber by Paz Vizsla. Their brutal battle is spotlighted here along with the souped-up Naboo Starfighter taking flight, Peli Motto and her droids, Fennec Shand making her entrance, and more.

Check out the artwork in the thread below.

The closing moments of the episode teased the return of Grogu, and the little fella is indeed expected to show up during next Wednesday's chapter. There are rumors that Luke Skywalker will also put in an appearance, which would make sense since "Baby Yoda" left with the legendary Jedi in the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian.

Even if we don't see Luke, these final two episodes are going to feature quite a few surprises, so be sure to check back next week for our breakdown of Chapter 6.

Should have been Mando season 3 episode 1

Easily the best episode of this show so far

@dracula - That's the problem with the show. Mando does the shit that we pictured Boba Fett doing but all what Boba Fett is doing is pretty much sitting around with his helmet off.

This [frick]ing show is actually trying to make the N-1 and "wizard" cool...

...And, I kind of love it.

Did anyone catch the Millenium Falcon in front of the transport leaving the ringworld?

Did they reuse shots from phantom menace, a lot of shots looked straight out of the pod race just replacing the pod with the ship

@dracula - Definitely not. The time of day is different, for one thing.

From this poor-quality gif, it looks to me like someone has remodeled the whole terrain from scratch (which isn't too hard to do with reference material and engines like Unreal). It's definitely close enough for people to recognize it immediately, and that's all that really matters.

I'm thinking the "little friend" that Mando mentioned was just misdirection and is actually either gonna be Cobb Vanth or Ahsoka. Makes more sense than putting Luke and Grogu in here in my opinion

@JFerguson - If it is Luke&Grogu, we might not see the actual interaction here. The next episode might start with them coming back from the meeting and just tease what actually went down, which we will then see in Mando season 3.
Or I might completely wrong. Just spitballing here.

@Odin - Maybe. I think holding off on showing Grogu again will make the reunion all the more special in S3 of Mando.

Also, id much prefer bounty hunters vs pykes than having the problem be solved by pitting a force user against them.

Paz Vizsla sounded like Dave Bautista under the helmet

@GirshwinDavies - According to IMDb, it's Favreau, but I'll be honest... my first thought was Kevin from the Office.

(But since I've been marathoning them, I've been seeing and hearing Office folks everywhere. It's going to be nice when I'm done. I'm already on season seven.)

@GirshwinDavies - Yeah, I turned my nose up at it when it first aired, and decided to finally find out what all of the gifs were about.

@Spock0Clock - My first thought was it should be Favreau since he played Pre Viszla in The Clone Wars, but then I thought it didn’t really sound like him.

I do enjoy how the specifics of starships are kind of irrelevant to a lot of Star Wars media. They're mostly about getting from A to B a lot of the time, and what matters is whether you've got one or you don't.

Luke and Obi Wan didn't have a ship, so they hired a guy with one (over-paying according to Luke, and a kind of crummy one according to everybody). When Luke got a hyperdrive-capable fighter, he happily zipped around the galaxy in a cramped little cockpit. It operates essentially on the same logic of cars (either you have one, with the independence that comes from that) or you don't (and you are reliant on public transit and bumming rides), but short of capital-ships-battles any old beater is about as good as another so what matters is attachment and personal preference.

Freighters are a bit like RVs and fighters are a bit like motorcycles, but they're all basically small transit (with a bit of guns for some dogfighting).

It's not great in terms of science fiction or logistical nerd-stuff that I get off on (it's kind of a rejection of that), but it does have its own charm. It's more about what's available than living out some space engineering fantasy.

Luke still has his x wing no way in hell Luke is riding in the back of the N-1 Starfighter with Gorgu sitting on his lap - Mando will definitely get pulled over for that 🤣🤣😩😩😮🤦🏽‍♂️
