During halftime of tonight's snoozefest of an NFL Wild Card game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys, Disney+ and Lucasfilm provided some actual drama with the thrilling official trailer for the upcoming third season of The Mandalorian, and it's every bit as awesome as you could've imagined.
The trailer quickly gets us back up to speed with Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu as they embark on a wild batch of new adventures across the galaxy, which will see them cross paths with new friends - including what appears to be Jedi - and even more dangerous foes as they make their way to Mandalore.
Additionally, we've learned that the eight-episode season will feature installments directed by Rick Famuyiwa , Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Famuyiwa previously helmed "The Child," "The Prisoner," and "The Believer"; Weathers directed "The Siege" in season two; and Howard was behind "Sanctuary" in season one and "The Heiress" in season two. The Jurassic World Dominion star also helmed The Book of Boba Fett's show-stopping "Return of the Mandalorian" hour.
The Mandalorian season three starts streaming on March 1.
