VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE - It's Time To Pick A Side On Striking New Dolby Poster For The Sequel

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is almost here, and we now have another very cool poster for the Marvel movie featuring a titanic clash between Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson).

2018's Venom was disliked by many fans, but based on the early buzz surrounding Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Sony Pictures was wise to enlist Andy Serkis to take charge of the sequel.

It's hard to imagine a live-action clash between these two iconic comic book characters being anything other than an absolute riot, of course, and Dolby has now shared an exclusive new poster for the movie. As you might expect, the focus is put squarely on Venom and Carnage, with the Tweet even asking, "Whose side are you on?" Both characters have their fair share of fans, that's for sure.

However, while Venom falls into "anti-hero" territory, Carnage is a full-blown villain and mass murderer. With that in mind, something tells us not too many people will be rooting for Cletus!

Earlier today, Tom Hardy addressed the possibility of a crossover with Spider-Man down the line, while Serkis opened up on Venom: Let There Be Carnage's surprisingly short runtime. It feels like there are big plans in place for this franchise, which is no great surprise after the first movie's box office success.

"Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel's greatest and most complex characters," reads a brief synopsis that was released on the movie's website (where you can now purchase tickets for the movie). "Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage."

As noted, Venom: Let There Be Carnage stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson. It's set to be released in theaters on October 1, 2021.

@SnideCut - People are liking it so far. I know I’m excited mostly because as a Marvel fan, my interests are in the Spidey circle.

Sony should do their own standalone spider verse using Andrew Garfield's Spiderman. Let Tom Holland remain with Marvel Studios and eventually do a Spider-Geddon movie.

Why are they trying to market this like it’s Civil War or BvS?

@SamaelSaint - or Twilight, but even less interesting

@SamaelSaint -
Venom fights his main villain that could have easily been used in the first movie. In a film series already overloaded with too many symbiote villains two movies in. Other breaking news...

For Spiderverse they could use a raimi venom.

Dr conners did have a piece of the symbiot and peter never went back to get it.

Wonder why they left that, 4 was suppose to have Vulture, and Raimi didnt like venom, doubt he would be interested in carnage

@dracula - Weird loose thread, but could be easy set up for a Flash Thompson Agent Venom appearance from that universe down the line

Off-topic: something that looks like it actually has a shot at being good.

Shouldn't have given Carnage a tongue. The inside of his mouth should have just been a big red void.

‘Pick a side?’ Seems like odd marketing. This ain’t BvS or Civil War where we had good guys clashing over ideologies and we are forced to pick between our favorite characters and their beliefs. This is has one character as a serial killer who is clearly evil.

All these comments about 'its not like BvS or civil war' but none of y'all actually picked a side...we must do as instructed.
