Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3's roster grows today with the release of
Marvel Knights: Curse of the Vampire. The first of three planned expansions for the action-adventure, the DLC adds four Marvel Knights: Punisher, Blade, Moon Knight and Morbius. There's also an accompanying story scenario with them.
Arriving alongside these four characters is the new Guantlet Mode, which allows up to four players to take on a frenzied series of co-op challenges in rapid successions to earn rewards. Once you complete a Gauntlet, a survival-style version of it will unlock, offering a new type of challenge with continuous waves of enemies. Progress will be tracked in an online rankings board.
While the
Marvel Knights: Curse of the Vampire DLC is part of the paid-for Expansion Pass, there is some free content coming to the game today for all players. New outfits for Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther, and more are available. There's also a more-difficult "Nightmare" story mode with new battle rules to keep the game feeling fresh.
To accesss the
Marvel Knights DLC you must purchase the Expansion Pass for
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 for $19.99. This also includes two more planned expansions focusing on the
Fantastic Four and
X-Men. The expansions will not be sold individually.
