Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, the third installment in the acclaimed action role-playing franchise, launched today on the Nintendo Switch. The highly anticipated release was celebrated with a launch trailer that highlights the game's massive roster and exhilerating action.
Developed by Koe Tecmo's Team Ninja, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is set in an entirely different universe than the previous two games, with a plot inspired by the The Infinity Gauntlet. With Thanos and his ruthless band of Warmasters tracking down the six Infinity Stones, heroes from across the universe will have to team-up to stop them and prevent galactic destruction.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 features the largest collection of playable heroes in franchise history with members from the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, Inhumans, Defenders, Spider-Verse, and more coming together. The roster will expand further via a mix of free post-launch updates and the Expansion Pass. Previously announced, the $20 Expansion Pass will introduce characters from Marvel Knights, the X-Men, and Fantastic Four.
Assemble your ultimate team of Marvel Super Heroes from a huge cast including the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the X-Men, and more! Team up with friends to prevent galactic devastation at the hands of the mad cosmic tyrant Thanos and his ruthless warmasters, The Black Order.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order was one of the games talked about during the Marvel Games panel at San Diego Comic-Con. It was also confirmed that the Marvel Knights: Curse of the Vampire DLC - which releases September 30th for Expansion pass owners - will add Blade, Moon Knight, Morbius, and The Punisher.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is now available exclusively on Nintendo Switch. It currently sits at a 74 on Metacritic with "mixed" reviews from a total of 29 critics.
