The day has come at last, the release of "X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST" is here and we couldn't be more excited as our favorite mutants all come together for the ultimate showdown. To celebrate this awesome moment, my friend/fellow professional editor Joel Walden and I decided that we'd collaborate for the first time and bring you this retrospective which expands across the entire X-Men film franchise which began 14 years ago. We're massive fans of the franchise and proud of what it has evolved into so this was a blast to make. We hope you all enjoy it!

Quick Note: Please be aware that this video does contain spoilers for the previous films released before "Days of Future Past". Also we only used portions of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" which linked back with the franchise.

Clips from 'X-Men: First Class', 'X-Men', 'X2: X-Men United', 'X-Men: The Last Stand', 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine', 'The Wolverine' and 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' remains courtesy of 20th Century Fox, © TM & Copyright 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2013, 2014

Noticed that X-Men Origins: Wolverine was unceremoniously left out of this. I wonder if it's because it sucks donkey balls...

Every comic book movie always gets described as "best superhero movie ever" by someone. Anyways, I'm hyped for DOFP and this video got me even more hyped.

The Nightcrawler scene in X2 was one of the most badass scenes I've ever seen in a CBM.

I just a came out of the cinema not one hour ago and I have just one word, brilliant! despite some minor continuity issues. Best Xmen movie to date and measures quite well against the likes of CA the Winter Soldier (Marvel) and the Dark Knight (DC) this is one great story that is well acted and well executed.

Got teary eyed watching that man...

The memories of seeng the X-Jet in ToysRUs when the first X-Men film came out, at the theater being afraid of Nightcrawler asking my dad if I can use the bathroom so I wouldn't see it lol, creating wolverine pencil claws and duking it out with my friends in my elemntary school, X3 selling out at my theater back in 2006 and how we were actually about to sit in the it heater isle to watch it and decided to just leave, laughing at how goofy Origins was with my high school friends, Regretting not seeing First Class in theaters and shedding a tear during that ending scene on the island with Fassbender and McAvoy, regaining faith in the Wolvierine solo flicks after seeing it in the theaters with my pops and here we are just one day away from the film and now I'm the one explaing so many things to both old and new fans of the franchise. It's truly a franchise I've grown with over the years.

Very wise of them to cut out almost all of Xmen Origins Wolverine

That's a pretty ballsy statement. Singer made 2 of my favorite CBM scenes - the Nightcrawler Whitehouse scene and Superman saving the airplane in Superman Returns. We'll see how QS is handled.

I hate this franchise, I hate what FOX and Brian Singer have done to this entire franchise! Having said that, this mash-up-trailer actually makes the movies look good. If only they were good.. we can dream.. now theres talk of a Gambit movie, which will likely completely disregard Gambits prior appearance since now FOX is literally just erasing movies from history. Another XMEN, potentially another Wolverine, and lets not forget the rebooted FF and rumored XFORCE/DEADPOOL & CABLE.. in all this will end up being somewhere in the ball park of 20 movies when all is said and done (counting the first FF run, and other movies that have been "erased from time") and it will be for nothing.. because the publics appetite will dwindle eventually. I'm a comic book fan.. and I love all things comic book related.. but its only a matter of time, be it 5 years or 20 years before the general publics interest declines.. and FOX ditches the franchise and it reverts back to Marvel. ... ok kinda got side tracked

Rant over. Hate if your gonna hate.

That was pretty cool. Overall this X-Men franchise has been mediocre for me, but this looks pretty dope. I want a serious [frick]ing Gambit too. Not at shit that was in Origins.

Yeah, I hate this franchise, too.

It's been handled with very little care and consideration.
