The Wrap reveals that despite not opening as big as this year's Iron Man 3 and Man Of Steel, 20th Century Fox's The Wolverine is "projected to debut with around $70 million on July 26." While not being the biggest film of the year, The Wolverine has also not been the most followed film since its announcement. This is, of course, because of the bad taste that Origins gave many fans and movie goers alike. If The Wolverine is a huge box office success, would you like to see more of Hugh Jackman as Logan? Or do you think it's time for the Aussie actor to hang up his claws? Comment below and let me know!

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

Interesting.

If the audiences really go for it, a $70M opening could mean high $100M's to low $200M's by the end of it's run.

(For comparison, Trek Into Darkness opened to $70.1 and is currently at $223M)

Meaning we could be looking at it as one of 2013's Top 15 pictures.

A lot of non comic ppl are dying to see this movie. And Hugh should play Wolvie until he physically can't play him.

p.s. First Class was a Wolverine movie, lol. He was the highlight of that movie. Thats just how strong Hugh/Logan is for Fox's movies

This movie will make up for that disaster called Wolverine origins . James Mangold is a helluva director and will get it right and as far as Hugh Jackman continuing to play wolverine why not as long as he can physically play the role.

Time to give us something new and fresh, and develop a bit more the other x-men.

I just hope its great. The audience will find it its good. Its been proven that Wolverine is loved, just most of his movie aren't that special. Hope this changes the pattern.

Origins opened to 85mil with internet leak and no 3D boost so this isn't exactly a positive projection. I'm gonna wager this falls somewhere between 350-400mil for the total run.

lol get real that's a positive projection the films budget is less then the last one 110million with an international cast and no shoein mutants aka gambit cyclops sabertooth all the random cameos of the last one.Origins was a may first only superhero film in 09 release.
