The Wolverine may have concluded filming in Australia, but "ashola69" was kind enough to send us the following images which were taken on the set of the James Mangold helmed film earlier this month. As you can see, both the photos and letter sent out to residents detail an action packed chase sequence between Wolverine and Silver Samurai's ninjas. Remember, if you have any of your own set photos which you would like to see featured here on CBM, click HERE to get in touch!

Fox Film Australia Pty Ltd is currently producing a feature film adaptation of the popular Marvel comic, The Wolverine starring Hugh Jackman. With the assistance of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority, a section of P5 car park next to the Monster BMX track at Sydney Olympic Park has been chosen as a location to recreate a Japanese mountain village for filming. This temporary village will be dressed with artificial snow and used to film a stunt fight sequence between the Wolverine and Japanese samurai on motorbikes.
Filming is scheduled for Monday October 22nd – Friday November 2nd 2012. At the conclusion of filming, the set will be dismantled and the car park returned to normal by Saturday November 17th, 2012. The scenes are set at night and will be shot between 4:00 pm and 6:30 am with approximately 250 crew onsite. All lighting will be from cranes and angled down towards the ground. There will be no spill of light away from the car park itself. Custom made net guns using compressed air will be used as weapons for the stunt, and the three motorbikes involved have been customized to reduce engine noise to an absolute minimum.
The Cast and Crew are very grateful to have the opportunity to work at this location and apologize for any inconvenience we may inadvertently cause. If you have any questions about the upcoming filming, please contact the Wolverine Location Office.
