The quote is from Jeanne Marie Le Prince de Beaumont's Beauty and the Beast. A lot of the Tweets sent out by Singer and other directors such as Marc Webb - who have really embraced the social networking site as a means to promote their movies - haven't always been particularly interesting. But I think you'll agree that this shot of Hoult as a much more human looking Hank McCoy, aka Beast, is pretty damn cool indeed.

X3 at least got the Beast makeup right.. I assume that Singer's original designs were used in that film before he left to make Superman Returns.. less hassle for the actor and looks more natural/faithful

Daaaaamn.... Now THAT'S a Beast, right there. And I agree--that looks much better than what we got in First Class. Not that I hated the design they went for the Beast, but he honestly just looked like a giant blue lion. And I can kinda see a similarity between this Beast and Grammer's Beast *hint, hint, Singer*. ;P

One if my biggest - and really only - problems with First Class was Beast's look. Some shots looked ok (in the plane etc) but mostly he just looked silly. This is SO much better.

@Nivekian, not necessarily true. Beast has been colored in comics with yellow/gold eyes as well. Don't get hung up on the little things :D

As for the photo, it looks OK.

I might be mistaken, but i believe Singer has stated Beast is his favorite X-man in the past. Its only natural he would get this right.

I like that they've shown him growing as the beast, and closer resembling the X3 look. Even if I don't like it, continuity matters to me

I'm having a hard time thinking how can someone confuse a big furry beast with a half naked scaly-skinned women with Red hair. They're both blue, okay. But I can still see the difference between Magneto and Charles alright.

i thought he looked horrible in the first class .. big improvment.. im just not a fan of bryans work .. aside from his work on house .. but i really did not like the first xmen .. and the second one was better but still lacked .. i know ratner did worse with his take but i would of loved if they would of rolled with someone else for this movie ..
