X-MEN:DOFP Blu-Ray Release Date/Special Features Revealed; No Mention Of Director's Cut

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray/DVD release date for Bryan Singer's critically acclaimed X-Men: Days of Future Past and has also revealed the list of special features that will be included in the sets. However, there's one glaring omission.. come check it out!

A few months ago, a few special edition Blu-ray/DVD sets for X-Men: Days of Future Past were revealed and you can check them all out by clicking HERE. The critically acclaimed film will be available on Digital HD, September 23 and will be available on Blu-ray/DVD, October 14.

Earlier this year, X-Men: Days of Future Past producer Lauren Shuler Donner said that we should expect an Extended Director's Cut on the Blu-ray when it is released later this year. Earlier today, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment revealed a list of special features that will be included on the Blu-ray/DVD sets and there is no mention of an Extended or Director's Cut.

This doesn't necessarily mean that there won't be an Extended Director's Cut, but as of right now it has yet to be announced. James Mangold's The Wolverine received a special Unleashed Extended Cut, so it is still likely that this film also receives one. It also depends on director Bryan Singer's schedule. He has been caught up in legal issues for the past few months, so that may be a factor in delaying or omitting the announcement.

With or without an Extended Director's Cut, there will still be a ton of other cool special features including several deleted scenes, which will include the highly anticipated Rogue sequence, a gag reel, an in-depth look at the making of Quicksilver's Kitchen Sequence, and more. Check them out below!

Special Features:
Disc 1: Theatrical Feature (Blu-ray 3D)
Disc 2:Theatrical Feature (Blu-ray 2D)
Deleted Scenes [with Optional Audio Commentary by Bryan Singer]
Kitchen Sequence
Gag Reel
Double Take: Xavier & Magneto
X-Men: Reunited
Classification: M
Sentinels: For a Secure Future
Gallery: Trask Industries
Theatrical Trailers
Second Screen App
Digital HD

Fox could still release the extended version. It took them a while to release XMen 1.5 also

We're probably getting two releases due to the directors cuts may not be 3D but a regular Blu-ray.

Never heard they said it will have director cut, but there will be deleted scene with Rogue.

A director's cut usually comes when the director has another version of the film that he preferred but due to run times etc. he couldn't release that in theatres. This does not seem to be the case with DOFP as they gave some pretty logical explanations as to why the Rogue scenes were cut. I expect them to be added as deleted scenes but I doubt we seem them attached to the actual film.

Donner said yes to Rogue scene, but some people: ,,Hehe didn't read"...

Well it's a bit hard to say the extended cut was confirmed or not. It all depends if that twitter Donner account was legit or not. Fingers crossed. Same still goes for Thor: TDW. lol

Disappointed if there's no director's cut. Still that's a decent amount of features.

Can anyone explain why Beast would register as a human when he was scanned by the Sentinel? That really, really bothered me.

A little disappointing. Hopefully they'll do like The Wolverine and have a separate release. I'll likely buy them both. I own every XFilm release already, not gonna stop now.
