@TABOO13 same here I love the x-men and love claremonts run on uncanny(#272 was my first comic) but I am still on the line for this, even though I will no doubt see it the day it comes out.

Who says they're even a couple?
Just because someone is walking arm in arm, doesn't mean they're a thing..
Didn't you guys know that it's polite to offer your arm to a lady while it's raining?

"Wow he looks exactly like Xavier..."

...and I don't see Xavier at all when I see those pics. Funny how people see things differently.

patriautism@ The first picture he has his arm around her, plus prior reports say that they are going to have a little something-something going on.

patriautism - 10/1/2010, 4:42 PM
Actually I believe they have their arms around each other.
They're obviously not filming in that picture either (because she has her costume/hair protected).

You're right that isn't a film photo. The word still is that they are going to be an item.

It seems that this movie will be mixing up some of the ultimate universe...In Ultimate X-men, Prof X had a relationship with Mystique b4 he left her 4 Emma Frost. That's y Mystique joined Magneto's Brotherhood & turned on him. Emma was also secretly part of the Hellfire Club. SO I'm guessing they'll incorporate some Ultimate elements into their First Class story.
Still wish they wudn't call it First Class tho :(

Xavier lost his hair as a teenager, Xavier lost his hair as a teenager, waaa waaa waaa! I mean seriously. Is it that BIG a deal that in this movie's continuity he lost it older? I mean seriously. If that's a problem, then how about Heath Ledger's Joker - "War paint? To scare people" That's not right. How come no one was up in arms about that. I didn't like the idea initially but hey, it worked in the realistic world set by Nolan. Or better yet Alfred... Let's not care about the excellent performance by Michael Caine. Nooo, call up the posse & lynch WB, bcuz Alfred's supposed to be balding & has a mustache from the comics.

mega- finally you said it like who cares if he lost his hair when he was older, he still going to get bald .

tab- x-men was also the first comic i read and the first superhero cartoon i saw and this film will rock cause is the beginning of the x-men.

Bleed the freak. I started reading comics with Uncanny 230 ish or so. Claremont's run on Uncanny (97-280) was the best x-men will ever be.

ETA That chick is yummy.

so why isnt mystique blue??
megabatfan
megabatfan - 10/1/2010, 7:50 PM
@Jables556
I'm thinking she used to hide her mutation around this time and when she hooks up with Magneto, he teaches her not to be ashamed of her mutation & she'll keep her blue form from then on.
Further adding to when she told Nightcrawler they should have to disguise themselves in X2

megabatfan@ You are seriously comparing the role of Alfred and the role of Xavier on equal levels of importance? Can't buy into that argument. I am not going to quibble over them having him with hair a few years too late, but the whole movie bothers me anyway, so it doesn't really matter to me whether he has hair or not.

I too am someone who started with X-Men and Wolverine comics. I can't wait to see this also.....on DVD for $1 from the redbox down the street. The first movie did well because lets face it, the X-Men were in a movie. I was highly upset at the costumes at the time, but let it pass because we didn't get many CBM's that were big budget like that. I know small things have to be changed to keep the presence of it really being possible, but to call something first class and not include the original five is absurd. Frack continuation on the other X films. I respect them for what they did for CBM's, but they have a chance to really rebuild a great franchise.
Most people hate the word reboot, but they rebooted Batman, Captain America, Punisher(couple times), and Hulk. These characters are larger than life and deserve the opportunity to be presented to us the right way. I love the first two Burton Batman's, but when you go back and watch them now, they are a little cheesy. The ship can't be corrected if we continue to pay top theater dollar to see them.
