The critically-acclaimed Finding Dory has now officially passed the $400 million milestone at the domestic box office with $402.2 million. This makes it the second film of 2016 to accomplish that milestone, after Captain America: Civil War. That also makes Finding Dory the highest grossing animated film in domestic box office history, just after Shrek 2The Lion King, and Toy Story 3. It is expected to pass all of those films by next week. Finding Dory will also pass Captain America: Civil War later on today. Box office experts say that Finding Dory will finish with over $500 million and maybe even pass The Dark Knight

Overseas, Finding Dory has made $194.8 million, which puts it at a worldwide total of $597 million. Its foreign totals may seem average, but keep in mind that the film has yet to open in several major box office markets, including Japan and United Kingdom. Finding Dory is expected to hit $1 billion.
