Cartoon Network began airing Teen Titans Go!, the latest animated series on the DC Nation programming block, in April, and the show has been successful in its ratings. The series is averaging 1.7M viewers and is very popular in the kids and boys demographics. With that in mind, TV Guide reports that Cartoon Network has picked up Teen Titans Go! for a second season. An official announcement is expected today. Based on the popular DC Comics team, the series is a more comedy-oriented extension of the excellent Teen Titans animated show, which aired 2003-2006 on Cartoon Network. It originally aired on DC Nation as a series of shorts last year before being picked up for a full show. Are you watching Teen Titans Go!?

Pathetic.
Even when I was a kid I hated childish cartoons.
Smurfs & crap like that..like this Teen Titans Go crap.

Where are the quality cartoons like Batman animated series & classic Bugs Bunny / Roadrunner toons?
Sad,sad.

What a mindlessly shit show. The fact that they cancelled Young Justice for this garbage still pisses me off. Apparently DC thinks that their core fan base is between 0-1 years old, because that's the intellect level of this crap.

Umm... Coulson? You are commenting because you don't like us complaining. If you don't like us complaining... don't comment.

Let me end this right here:

Green Lantern got canceled because it was an obvious tie in to the movie. Didnt it seem odd how when GL got a movie, he also got an animated series? Because the film sucked no one was interested in the animated series.

Young Justice got canceled because no one brought their merchandise.

Quit whining and move on.

I mean lets be honest it sucks that YJ got cancelled it was a quality program, but the reason we liked it is the same reason it was cancelled, it wasn't kiddy enough. Kids and their short attention spans like flashy colors and simple stories they can follow. That's apparently who CN felt they needed to target, not preteens and older. It's a shame. And it sucks but that's the way it is.

Please Coulson, you don't need to tell us you're in high school. That's painfully obvious...

Really? So people should only ever comment if they like something? What kind of logic does that make? If you don't want to read complaints on something, don't read the comments section of anything. EVER.

@Super12, I understand the reasoning for cancelling YJ, it just sucks that they can't seem to keep a show going that appeals to all ages not just young kids. We haven't had that since Justice League. Plus shows that are canceled early all leave unfinished storylines like YJ, Avengers: EMH, and Wolverine & The X-Men. Frustrating.

I quit expecting decent news from CN a long time ago so this is no surprise. If the kids love it what can you do. Us grown folk just gonna haveta wait for our YJ's and X-Men to rear their heads again.

already as many seasons as both EMH and YJ.

I loved YJ, I really did and... well, I like this show too. It's nowhere near as compelling and intelligent but hey, it's funny. *shrugs* In a perfect world, they'd both be on a two hour long DC Nation block so everyone gets what they want.

Given the ratings this show gets every week no wonder they would renew it.

So, fan favorites Young Justice and Green Lantern the Animated Series gets cancelled and a show fans loath, gets a second season.

And to everyone telling others to stop complaining...are you not also complaining about the complainers?? It's a comment forum..it's our right. Just like it's your right to like this news. So...knock it off.

And finally....PUT OUT THE BLASTED GREEN LANTERN ANIMATED SERIES PART 2 DVD ALREADY!!! grr.....

I don't know why Green lantern and Young Justice couldn't have aired say at a lter time like after 8 pm. Save the Titans for Saturday morning for the kids.

A lot of the hate for this show is due to it being the program that "replaced" Young Justice. But we can't blame the show, we can only blame CN, who decided to take Young Justice (and Thundercats) out of a 7:30pm Friday night time slot and put it on Saturday mornings where let's be serious- not even kids wake up for anymore, let alone preteens and young adults. THEN, they go and put this Teen Titans show to a much better time slot than Young Justice originally had! Simply un-schway...

sappro - 6/12/2013, 12:44 AM
Relax guys, it's only season 2. If they get renewed for a 3rd season, then start complaining... Young Justice got 2 seasons too. Hopefully this show gets cancelled after season 2 and gives us an opportunity for a better show. =)
