Cartoon Network has released the first official image and a description for the next Batman cartoon, "Beware the Batman." Continue below for more:

Beware the Batman
A cool, new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise, Beware the Batman incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogues gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form. Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this action-packed detective thriller deftly redefines what we have come to know as a “Batman show.” Featuring cutting-edge CGI visuals to match the intricate twists and turns of the narrative, Batman steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight for an entirely new generation of fans. With WBA’s Sam Register executive producing, and Batman Beyond’s Glen Murakami and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated’s Mitch Watson producing, Beware the Batman, based on characters from DC Comics, is coming soon to Cartoon Network!

Could be alright, don't like DC animations' move towards CG.

Hmmm, will hold off judgement, always interested to see new takes on classic elements, but not really feeling it. I guess having grown up with the 90's show and and current movies darker tone, we would get an animated series they was a tad more serious especially after B:TAB. However as said time will tell on this one.

I think CGI doesn't fit Batman. it kinda works for Green Lantern because it's colorful, but Batman is all dark and sh*t.

That face sure looks weird.. Must be the first version of Wayne with a pointy chin (Or triangle face..).
I grew up with Batman TAS, not sure i'd get used to this but i'll give it a shot.
Even The Batman series was good after all..

That actually looks pretty good. I'm not too crazy about the fact they chose Katana over all the Robins and Batgirls, but I'll check this out. The Green Lantern series has been surprisingly good.

I have a feeling that they are setting up a fleet of CG series to be connected ... This could be cool but that batman just looks awful

I like the concept, the fact that they're using alternative rogue's gallery characters. Also think the ex-secret agent thing for Alfred is a fun idea.

But, based on this image alone, it looks too much like Batman Beyond. But that could just be this image.
