I had the privilege of being able to see the Kyoto Inferno last Sunday at its international movie debut and it did not disappoint.

The movie was essentially from the point where Minister Okubo comes to Kenshin and tells him about Shishio and his plans of Japanese domination to the unveiling of the Purgatory ship.

As far as the last story arc with Enishi? There is only one shot of Tomoe and nothing of Enishi unless you know it was him that sold Shishio all of his weapons through his triad connections.

So this second film will most likely be Kenshin learning the Succession technique (which might include some heavy flashbacks), the fight with the Jupon Gatana at the inn with the Kenshin-gumi and Kenshin, Sano, and Saito heading to the fight with Shishio if they go with the original anime/manga sequence which they've done well so far.

The film did have some changes that I didn't care for but was not about to walk out of the cinema for them.

the 1st movie dialog wasnt great but the damn loook and choreography more than made up for the rest, im glad it was made by japan and not usa, the fight scenes kick ass and are completely unique as a result
