I personally checked w/my pals at Paradigm (Adrien Brody's agency) & at press time, YES they were pursuing Ant Man but got nothing yet.
After doing some more research I discovered this from John Campea, editor at AMC Theatres Script To Screen..
Take this for what its worth, but I was just told Adrien Brody is most likely going to be "Ant Man" for Edgar Wright.
The Latino Review boys have been spot on with scoops in the past, and Campea seems to think that he's not only looking for the role, but has it! Anyway like I said, still just a rumor for now so confirm or debunk below, but this is definitely worth keeping an eye on. Its interesting to me how Wright plans to adapt this with Hank Pym rumored to appear in Joss Whedon's
Avengers. Will he use Scott Lang instead? Or could whoever one casts be used by the other? Last we heard from Wright on the film's progress, the script was on its second draft and he was planning on getting things moving after
Scott Pilgrim was done and dusted. Either way, how would you feel about Brody portraying the wee fella?
Update: John Campea has tweeted(or is it twittered?) an update to yesterdays rumor..
A pretty good source told me Adrien Brody could be Ant Man. Well, Edgar Wright just told me it wasn't true. Think I'll take Edgar's Word.
As will we dude! Looks like it won't be Brody anyway. I have also heard that the Nathan Fillion as Pym rumor is untrue too though, I guess we just won't know..until Comic Con! Keep your peepers on CBM over the next few days folks.
