Volkswagen has partnered with Marvel Studios to promote Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, and a fun commercial puts the spotlight on Cassie Lang's new superpowers.
In the promo, the ant-sized teenager sneaks out of her bedroom and prepares to take her dad's car on a joyride. However, it's then that Ant-Man appears, growing into Giant-Man in an effort to keep his daughter in line! Unfortunately, neither Kathryn Newton nor Paul Rudd makes an appearance, a shame considering these commercials normally include the MCU's actors.
While we've seen Cassie suited up in the Quantum Realm, this footage all but confirms the character will have superpowers in the upcoming threequel. That's in line with the comic books, of course, though it appears this version of the hero will skip being called Stature and go straight to Stinger.
As for how Cassie gains her powers, we'd bet on it happening during the five years Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne, The Wasp, and Ant-Man were all missing after The Blip.
Check out this new Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania commercial below.
In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.
Directed by Peyton Reed, the threequel also stars Jonathan Majors as Kang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz, and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on February 17.
