I can watch as many trailers as they put out, but nothing seems to get me interested enough for the long trek to the theatre. It looks like a good movie, but it's gotta be a pass for me. They can have my money on rental, and likely Blu-ray.

Sorry Mickey, don't hurt me!

There are absolutely cases where comedy is distracting and hurts the film, but this is Ant-Man. He's a guy who shrinks and talks to bugs. Nobody is gonna take that character 100 percent seriously and Marvel recognizes this, so they're highlighting the humor aspect.

Just like they did with Guardians of the Galaxy. It's a movie where one of the main characters is a talking raccoon with a machine gun.

i think it' cos yellowjacket in a brand new modern suit whilst the suit lang will be wearing was made in the 70s according to the ant man comic tie in. also it means we get to see langs suit maybe get an upgrade in civil war which should be cool.

A big difference from the other Marvel movies is the Cast Phil Rudd, Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, and Michael Peña are comedic actors. couple that with a screen play penned by Edgar Wright and Adam McKay. You have a actual comedy not an attempt at humor.

The movie feels wrong that is all, it dont care what they do the comedy feels somethings good but anothers bad or cliche, it doesnt have nothing that make me feel with the balls to spent 300 Bsf in tickets...

There is one an hour away, but it's release schedule is about 2-3 months behind regular releases, and it only shows one movie a week. The closest real theatre is almost 2 hours away. And my money is already earmarked for Fantastic Four in August, so Ant-Man has to wait. I promise I won't pirate it though!

This looks like a fun movie with good humor and creative action sequences. Exactly what an Ant-Man movie SHOULD be!!

Think about it. If they took a concept like Ant-Man and made it dark and super serious, it would actually come off as MORE humorous than it actually is. It really seems like they got exactly the right tone for Ant-Man, and I couldn't be happier about that!!

@DrKinsolving

There used to be, but the owner got some renovations done about 10 years ago, skipped out on the bill, left the country and the contractor put a lein on the theatre, and now it's condemned. There about 4 feet of water inside the building.

@MercwithMouth

Well, I can't blame you. That's EXACTLY how I feel about Fantastic Four. I just can't get into that movie despite how much others seem to think its turned around. I'll watch it on blu-ray. But I don't intend to make the trip to the theatre for it.

I am going to Ant-Man because it's the first new solo movie since the 1st Captain America back in 2011. It's nice to see new characters in the MCU. I'm interested in how Ant-Man gets his invite for the Avengers and seeing the new incarnation of the team getting larger.

And to be blunt, I'm interested in any MCU movie because of the interconnectivity of all the films. Miss one -you feel like you're missing a piece of the puzzle. The other CBM universes are still trying to get off first base and haven't reached that point for me. I'm sure the DCCU will get that way eventually for me to support them. I have no clue what Fox is trying to accomplish except constantly reconfiguring the rules of their X-universe as they go along.
