AQUAMAN Director Reveals How It Handles Underwater Dialogue And It Will Be Nothing Like JUSTICE LEAGUE

One of Justice League's worst scenes came when Aquaman and Mera had an underwater conversation in a, well, bubble, and now director James Wan has made it clear things will change in the hero's solo movie.

In Justice League, Mera had to create an underwater bubble for her and Arthur Curry to have a conversation in. Simply put, it looked dreadful and fans were quick to point out that Atlanteans don't actually need air to talk. Aquaman director James Wan has since promised that he'll handle things differently in the solo movie and the filmmaker has now clarified how it will play out on screen.

Before we get to that, though, Entertainment Weekly reveals that they've seen fifteen minutes of the movie and confirm that while the characters are underwater they...well, they just talk normally!

"People are overthinking it," Wan says. "They’re just gonna talk!" So, there you have it. Apparently, at
most we'll see some minor visual effects showing sound waves underwater and it's described as a "simple and naturalistic-looking solution." This seems like the best solution and seeing as this is a comic book movie, there was never any need for it to be made a big deal out of in the DC Comics adaptation.
