Following South Africa, Italy and South Korea, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron has finally kicked off principal photography in England. The first U.K. location is at Hawley Woods, which, according filming proposals, is where “three to four principal actors” will engage in battle scenes involving fake snow, flying bullets, and many tanks. Other filming docs revealed that the location will appear as a fictional Eastern European city known as “Sokovia” in the film, as will the scenes filmed in Italy. What has not been specified is all the actors involved, however, sources including @Locs_Ops report that at least Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and his practical Hulk head-and-shoulders were on location. Anyhow, the Twitter user and Get Hampshire have provided some photos from the set mostly showcasing filming preparations, as well as some damaged props. Check them out!
The last set photo above was taken during the Italy shoot last month, featuring Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Cobie Smulders, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, with James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson, Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled for release May 1, 2015.
