Late last month,
AvengersNews reported that
“Marvel is searching for the perfect candidate for a particular role", in the studio's upcoming hero-clash, "The Avengers". That source includes that,
"They are important in their universe and whichever actress gets cast will potentially have the largest female role in the film.”.
Well one of those ladies was
Watchmen actress, Malin Åkerman. And last night at the Maui Film Festival screening of one of her recent films, Åkerman tells
E!Online....
"I saw that [on the internet] and I copied and pasted it to my agent". "He was like, ‘Where did you get this?' He called the studio and it was just a made-up rumor unfortunately."
Though it was just a rumor, the actress seemed interested in the idea, saying
"Maybe it'll influence the studio to go ahead and be like, ‘Hey, how about Malin Åkerman for the part?'" "But for now, it's just a rumor. I don't know how it started."
DCMF: I really liked her in Watchmen, and I'm still convinced that she would make a decent Ms. Marvel. What do you think?
