Batman, Superman & Wonder Woman on Brave and the Bold

The big three of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman come together this week on Batman: The Brave and the Bold in the episode "Triumvirate of Terror," which airs Friday October 7th,and TV Guide has premiered the first image from it.

Says TV Guide, "We sure are gonna miss Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Only a handful of episodes remain of the exuberant Cartoon Network series, and clearly there's no been no slacking off in the writers' room. This week's installment... is a charming and lighthearted tribute to the 'Big 3' of DC Comics... The trio meets at a diner for a meal of bacon cheeseburgers, fries and shakes while discussing what items to leave in a superhero time capsule. The fun doesn't last for long when their archenemies — the Joker, Lex Luthor and Cheetah — plan a team-up of their own. After years of futility they decide to switch adversaries: Luthor takes on Batman, Joker goes after Wonder Woman and Cheetah faces Superman."

So that's what makes Batman smile: Bacon cheesebutgers, fries, and milkshakes.

Or maybe he's just looking down Wonder Woman's shirt.

Speaking of Kingdom Come, why has DC not done that as an animated movie? It seems like it would be a better story than the diet Tower of Babel animated movie coming soon.

Yeah I found this online a few months ago as well...

You can actually find all of the remaining episodes on the Inets... I mean after this one there's what one or two?

Anyway, the finale actually brought a tear to my eye...
I loved this show and even though sure it was repetitive, I mean what have we not seen a thousand times over today?

Brave & the Bold will always hold a special spot for me...
Don't care what any of you other trolls say!

I never cared for the animation style of this one. Batman should never look so happy.

They should just rename that retarded show to Superfriends: The Next Generation

That picture COMPLETELY reminds me of those how it should have ended spoofs where Batman and Superman are sitting in the diner.

They really need to bring back a Batman show comparable to the Batman: The Animated Series. Really that show was good enough to have been a network primetime show. Justice League was also well done.

Thats the point. The show was a giant homage to silver age comics.

Learn your comics.

I already watched all the episodes up to the finale. The finale was one of the best episodes ever and it was really sad to see this show gone. Its one of the best (and definitely the funniest) Batman shows out there and I miss it.

Tech3099: This show will also hold a special place in my heart. It's a shame how many closed-minded people there are who can't appreciate a different take on a character who has gone through many incarnations and interpretations in his seventy years of stories.

I've loved Brave and the Bold since the first episode for its crisp, humorous writing (come on, people- this show made AQUAMAN both cool and funny), its lighter tone, which reminds me of the cartoons I grew up with, and for the great mix of heroes and villains it's presented- which is a refreshing change from seeing the same characters we always see in any DC-related show.

I like B&TB, and always loved the concept where Batman teams up with a hero in the beginning and then a new Hero for the main show. The next Batman movie should use the same concept instead of trying to make a Justice League movie.

@8th Passenger the Superfriends was aimed at mostly 8 year olds or so. Comics during that time did not Resemble what was on the Superfriends. If memory serves smiley Batman was around during the 50s and 60s when comics were much more heavily censored in a rather unamerican fashion. Batman in the 30s actually was more brutal depicting him at times killing. In the 70s There was more focus of Batman actually being a detective.

@batmiteddimension. Ummm one of the funiest Batman shows? Are you arguing for or against it

The Batman the Animated Series had great writers. Besides I am too old for kiddie versions of Batman so the overly cheesy Batman the brave and the old had zero interest anymore than Sponge Bob does

It is kind of funny what the series finale is going to be like; a Batman fanboy (Bat-Mite) trying to get this show cancelled just to get a darker Batman series.

It's a kids cartoon people. Lighten up. Let kids have a Batman too.

@8th Passenger

Brave and the Bold is littered with references to the silver age and beyond. Its one of the greatest love letters to comics in years. If you know your comic history its immensely enjoyable.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

You people that don't like this show suck eggs. Batman does not always have to come across as dark, mysterious, and totally serious. This show has brought fun back into the Batman character that existed long ago in the original TV series and the original animated shows.

This show takes a completely different perspective but makes it interesting for adults and children alike. I love the writing , I love the animation, and I love that I can watch it with my kids and not wonder if its appropriate.

This is one of those shows that you have to look outside of the box to enjoy and would have been in my personal home video archives already if they would stop segmenting seasons. Give me the full seasons or I'm willing to suffer and not buy.

Batman B&B has to be one of the funniest shows written for TV. As a comic fan I love the old references to the comics history and 50's flare. Just watch it for fun. Any Aquaman or Wildcat episode is hysterical. You all just need to lighten up on this show. Trust me I am 47 and still a big kid that likes my comics, cars, and cartoons.

@Ichaos, arguing for the show definitely! Funny does not mean bad. I mean, yes, my all time favorite animated TV show is Batman: The Animated Series, but B&B shows another awesome humorous side of Batman that children love. And that's what we all want, don't we? A new generation of Batman-fans!

Plasticman: They have finally started releasing Brave and Bold in half-season sets, which is a lot better than those crappy four episode things. The first season has been out for a while, and I just saw the first half of Season 2 last weekend at Sam's. The half-seasons are only like fifteen bucks. Wish they had bonus material or some commentaries.

I also agree with your comments regarding this series.
