I'm sure you remember back in 2007 we got to see the opening sequence of The Dark Knight in IMAX theaters in front of I Am Legend. Well according to /Film we may be in for a similar treat..

A trusted theater (read: exhibitor) source has just exclusively alerted /Film that Warner Bros. plans to attach an eight minute prologue to The Dark Knight Rises to all IMAX prints of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.

TDKR and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol are being released by different studios-WB and Paramount-but /Film reckon since WB don't have a big movie opening in IMAX to feature the footage with, they are teaming up with Paramount as Brad Bird is also shooting extensive scenes in IMAX for his action flick. Apparently WB have declined to comment so for now it's just a rumor I'm afraid. Lets hope it turns out to be true. If it is we will have the chance to see the footage in IMAX on December 16th, five days before Mission Impossible's official release on December 21st.
