It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.

The Dark Knight Rises opens in theaters July 20th. The film stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Marion Colltiard.

I'll be seeing it first thing Friday morning with my dad and my girlfriend. Did Returns come out in 92? Wow if that's the case me and my dad have had a twenty year tradition to see batman movies with each other first before we go with our friends. I was 2 when returns came out, first movie I saw in theatres, I think mask of the phantasm was the second :) I feel like a little kid again when a new batman movie comes out :)

@Nomis You are park of the .0001% of the Earth's population that felt that way about The Dark Knight. Also, if you think this is going to be more Batman Begins than TDK you are going to be mistaken. It's the same tone and feel only more disparate and physical.

Oh and if you want a big spoiler-ish filled review
here: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/dark-knight-rises-movie-review-batman-349354

Basically tells you scene by scene. Some interesting points tho! but no big big plot reveals.

Like this interesting point:
" the final shot clearly indicates the direction a follow-up offshoot series by Warner Bros. likely will take."

maybe something linked to Gordon-Levitt's character perhaps?
