THE BATMAN: New Batman, Catwoman, Riddler, And Penguin Character Posters Ask Fans To "Unmask The Truth"

Four incredible new character posters for The Batman have been released featuring some awesome shots of the movie's four leads, all while asking fans to "unmask the truth." Check them out after the jump...

With just over a month to go before The Batman arrives in theaters, the marketing campaign for the movie is picking up more steam than a Gotham City rooftop. Another round of posters has been released today, this time focusing on Batman (Robert Pattinson), Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz), The Riddler (Paul Dano), and The Penguin (Colin Farrell).

The posters also feature another intriguing tagline, as we're asked to "Unmask The Truth." It's clear there will be a huge mystery at the heart of this nearly three-hour DC Comics adaptation, hence why the spotlight will be shifted to what makes Bruce Wayne the World's Greatest Detective.

The hype continues to build for The Batman, and it's impossible to escape the feeling that we're in store for something really special here. The trailers appear to have only scratched the surface of what's on the way, especially as characters like Jim Gordon and Alfred Pennyworth have only made brief appearances thus far (we're honestly a little disappointed they don't have posters of their own).

In related news, The Batman director Matt Reeves has taken to Twitter to confirm we'll get to hear another track from Michael Giacchino's score on Friday, this time focusing on The Riddler.

The Batman finds the Caped Crusader in his early years, struggling to balance rage with righteousness as he investigates a disturbing mystery that has terrorized Gotham. Robert Pattinson delivers a raw, intense portrayal of Batman as a disillusioned, desperate vigilante awakened by the realization that the anger consuming him makes him no better than the ruthless serial killer he’s hunting.

Joining Pattinson in the star-studded ensemble are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.

The Batman is set to be released in theaters on March 4.

@Cap1 - Robert dated her as well briefly. Guess that's why their chemistry seems to be really good in this film.

@JesseCuster - oh shit I wasn't aware. Beat the spidey dating curse by doing it before the films lol

Say what you like about this film, whether it be Riddler's outfit or the runtime, the marketing has been fantastic. All these posters sell who the character is without doing much at all

@Cap1 - I'm not sure about the marketing. I've talked to several normies at work etc and none of them were even aware that a new Batman movie is coming out
There doesn't seem to be too much of a buzz about it.

@Feralwookiee - I agree. I’m surprised at how many people I’ve talked to with excitement that were unaware a new Batman was even coming out, it got even more alarming when I told them Robert Pattinson was the new Bruce Wayne.

@Feralwookiee - What I meant was more the posters and trailers themselves, the design and style of them etc., rather than the actual hype the marketing is creating for the film, which I think you may be right about. Still time yet

@Cbmfilmjunkie - Yeah. I've kinda experienced the same thing. I know it's "lower budgeted" and will certainly turn a profit no matter what, but I think it'll be a smaller hit at the box office, as far as Batman flicks go.

Penguins going to come out of this film on top is my bet. Riddler will kill all the established crime lords leaving Penguin last bird standing.
Hoping Penguin and Batman form an alliance (to the extent an alliance could be formed).

That Penguin and Riddler posters are just TERRIFIC,Se7en vibes are high with these. SE7EN is my favorite crime/suspense film, that movie has one of the most dense atmosphere in a crime movie imo and i do get this same feeling with this movie. March 4 can't come soon enough.

I'm still a bit shocked that's Pattison in the cowl... He looks so different. It's amazing to see how each actor becomes Batman, and how they inhabit the character. Pattison looks fierce. He's really selling me on it. There is so much in his eyes. I never bought into Affleck as Bruce or Batman. Bale did great with the duplicity of the role even if his Bat-voice was gruff.

Calling it now: Riddler in this movie is a combination of the original Riddler character and Hush.
He'll fake looking like Bruce and ruin his name

Cap1 - 2/1/2022, 1:17 PM
@Blergh - Thing about Hush is he has Bruce's build, Dano does not have Pattinson's build at all
