Many of you would surely agree that Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises are three of the greatest comic book movies of all-time. Whether condensing them into a single three minute video actually manages to do them justice is another argument altogether! Regardless, if you for some reason haven't seen any of The Dark Knight Trilogy (REALLY?!) don't watch this and go out and buy 'em all on Blu-ray right now! Otherwise, check out the video below and make sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

Cool video. I like to think that Nolan's trilogy is really just two movies, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. It's less disappointing and less lackluster that way. :)

I would of liked all the films a little more if he was more of a detective and used more gadget, which I hope they will do in the next batman films

@SUPERMAN2013 Technically, he was Batman for about a year and a half or so before becoming a hermit with leg problems. It must have been all of those small leaps from ledges that did him in. ;)

@SUPERMAN2013 I know, they actually made his career seem LONGER in this one!

that was excellent! it seems like they crammed tho to get it "under 3 minutes" - i would love one where the guy took a little bit more time and let certain moments breathe for a few seconds..

but good job!

Still, to make a trilogy of superhero(ish) films, 2/3 of which are incredible movies is a brilliant achievement in and of itself. And to count a film like The Dark Knight Rises as the worst in your trilogy is still something of a compliment - it was highly disappointing, but that's mainly due to how good the first 2 were, and there are far worse ways to end a trilogy.

Sooooooo. To watch the trilogy in three minutes, all you need to do is watch the the moments worth watching. That's about 3 or 4 minutes anyway

"TDKR was the best in the trilogy. (P.S. i don't care if it's comic accurate or not). As a piece of cinema, it's the best."

Even most of the avid Nolan fans will disagree with you on that one. At least, going by those that post here.

Bane's death didn't have to get trimmed at all to fit in the 3 minutes.

@AmericanPsycho No [frick]ing shit, man. That's comparing three movies to one. It's not exactly a fair comparison.

Not exactly the right phrase to say, is it?

Unless, of course, you mean taking the Batman character and making him a shell of what he's supposed to be.

In that case, you are right.

;)

@ Simpleman you mean TDK and TDKR? i agree. if you mean TDK and BB then i disagree. imo, BB is easily the worst of the bunch.

TheYoungMan@

You are trying to tell me that avid Nolan fans don't have nay preference or bias toward a certain film in the trilogy? You certainly haven't hung out around here too much over the last couple years.

....and now you are backtracking and saying they like it better than BB...what happened to best of the trilogy? I, for one, definitely liked BB better. To each their own.

@teabag I agree. With the Batman Begins aspect, I mean...

But, hey, 3 minutes isn't THAT bad...I think...

I like all three equally. They're pretty much all near-perfect films, in my opinion.

Needs the Joker's story to Rachel.

That's the linchpin of the whole trilogy.

Mrcool210
Mrcool210 - 1/8/2013, 1:27 PM
my opinion? bb- amazing (best batman movie)
TDK- The Only good thing about that movie was the joker
TDKR- good, but the more times i watch it the more i hate it
BIGBMH
BIGBMH - 1/8/2013, 1:40 PM
I think the video is pretty well done. However, it seems to alter the feeling of the end of TDK so it flows better into TDKR. They show the destruction of the bat signal, but when I think of TDK's ending I think of Gordon's monologue and Batman riding off to continue to serve Gotham while being hunted.

(transition to shameless self-promotion)

After taking a hiatus during the school semester, I've finally finishing up work on my write up for an alternative 3rd movie in Nolan's trilogy. I plan on posting it on January 20, 6 months after the movie's release. For now, check out my previous article, "TDKR: A Fitting Conclusion?"

@ TheYoungMan

some critic reviews i agree with & some i don't,my opinion is the only one that matters.

1st batman begins 4/5
2nd the dark knight 4/5
3rd the dark knight rises 2.5/5

the dark knight rises is the worse of the trilogy.
Ranger14

"You're telling me the "avid" Nolan fans are biased towards certain Nolan movies? How? Why?"

You are the one who used the term "bias". I simply stated that a number of avid Nolan fans that have commented here since last July, have stated that TDKR is the weakest of the three films. That does not coincide with your contention that TDKR is the best of the three and that avid Nolan fans view all three films in the same way. Even avid Nolan fans have their preference as to which film was the weakest or that underperformed for them. I don' know why you are having a difficult time understanding that.

Amazing, this is. I love this trilogy. Best trilogy of all time. LOTR and Star Wars(Original) second and third, respectively.
