Featurette Shows How Zod's Body Was Created For BATMAN v SUPERMAN

"For the blockbuster BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, ADI created two ultra-realistic replicas of the deceased General Zod that would withstand close scrutiny by a camera lense. Fitness trainer Greg Plitt came to ADI for us to lifecast his body from the neck down while our colleague Barney Burman loaned us a headcast of actor Michael Shannon. Once the Shannon headcast was copied both the head and body were run in silicone with a polyfoam fill to make them solid. Tony Matijevich, Brian Clawson, and Tim Leach created both Zod bodies; Denise Baer punched hair; Mike Larrabee painted both Zods. Before the release of the film, Body-Double Greg Plitt passed away. This video is dedicated to his memory."

From "Man of Steel" Director Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. The film also stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and reunites “Man of Steel” stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

The new film is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. The film was released worldwide on March 25, 2016, and is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment. Distributed by Warner Bros Pictures.

Good lord, the attention to detail is amazing! Also that process must have been a pain in the ass for Michael Shannon.

There is a 4DX theater in LA, just outside where I live. The only other cities that have them are Chicago and New York. Thinking about going.

@McGee - That warehouse seen was my fav part even though hes kills like 6 guys.

@RickGrimes - I didn't mind it because the movie establishes that Batman being reckless and killing indirectly (he never personally puts a bullet in anyone--just blows up gas tanks/redirects fire into friendly fire) is a result of his guilt consuming him into becoming the monster that he thinks Superman is. Alfred even establishes that his branding of criminals is a recent thing.

My favorite shot in the film is Batman looking at the Kryptonite spear, realising he was about to kill directly. All that talk about "How many good guys are left? How many stayed that way?" Alfred even warned him about that transition that turns good men "cruel". People forget about that last shot where Batman decides to not brand Luthor.

I could talk all day about this movie if I had the time. :(

@McGee - I hated alot about this film but the scene in the warehouse where he shoot out of the floor and throws those weapon malfunction on the guns, and then just brutally takes them all out was pure eye candy. I'm looking more forward to bat solo film in the dceu now.

@McGee - So I guess him grappling a car and crashing that car on top of another car, squashing the second car isn't killing directly, is it? Oh, and him shooting vehicles from his batwing and [frick]ing BLOWING THEM UP isn't killing directly, is it?

Dude, Batman killed people in this movie. It's as simple as that.

@McGee - as a lawyer, Batman's murder trial is a slam dunk conviction. Although he would probably end up in Arkham Asylum because he's flipping nuts.
