Say what? What about the fact that the film was lacking a fully coherent storyline, which frustrated and confused DC fans, let alone the general public ? What about the supposedly highly intelligent villain whose motive to unleash an uncontrollable kryptonian monster into the world actually makes no sense? The forced JL cameos which were laughable in their execution? The Batman who has turned into The Punisher? The Crazy scene where Bruce is downloading data and then gets a visit from a Marty McFly wannabe from the future, showing a future scene which was cool but looked completely out of place in the movie?
Watch the film again, man...this time take off the rose tinted glasses and look and listen objectively. This is not a great movie. It should have been...it could have been..but there are far better comic book movies out there.

It is sad that people have to make apologies and "explain" a film to a movie audience. The problem with what he is stating is that it is a movie that may or may not have the symbolism that he describes, but a good movie should appeal to people on multiple levels. The marketing and draw of the film appealed to the base desires of people...wanting to see Batman and Superman go to blows; the formation of the Justice League; the introduction of Wonder Woman and the appeal of seeing Doomsday. To then say that you should enjoy the movie and understand their underlying pain means the audience was duped. The Dark Knight films skillfully dealt with issues of pain, the line between right and wrong, and overcoming fear. But it never had to compromise the central tenets to the character in a lame attempt to make its case. I m sorry but while I think that it was a thoughtful approach; and perhaps a method by which someone might find the movie enjoyable, at the end of the day it is nothing more than excuses and an attempt to apologize for a failed movie.

@Forthas - it's not always "on your face" .. you've to understand that cinema is an art and as lyrics from a music, verses from a poem, books mainly from nobels .. the message the authors are sending may or may not have symbolism, you've to read between the lines".. zack snyder's movies can be sometimes considered pseudo-intelectual but they're very thoughtful
actually i thought exactly what he said while whatching the movie.. it's not for everyone's brain ..

sorry for my english :/

@HarshTimes - Not trying to start a war here, but which of Snyder's films can be considered pseudo intellectual? Idk... I think he is at his best when he can take source material that is already a single, cohesive story and then translate it visually into a movie (example: director's cut of Watchmen or 300). I wouldn't call literal adaptations of someone else's story pseudo intellectual because of Snyder's involvement . Just my opinion. Can you site some examples? I definitely would not include this movie, or the cartoon Legend of the Owl thingy (I forget the name) or Suckerpunch. Don't get me wrong... I did enjoy some of these films, but more in a "well, that was fun" and not in a "well that made me really think" kind of way.

@TomSolo - I was talking about those (director's cut of Watchmen or 300).. I said his movies not his stories .. but that wasn't the point

Honestly, I loved this movie and I won't apologize for that. I think this man's video is poignant and perfectly illustrates just how truly divisive this film has been for so many. Mostly by showing that there is NO RIGHT ANSWER. It's all OPINION and EMOTION. For those of you on this site who think you have the right to tell someone that their opinion is wrong (when it in no way infringes on your life as a human being), I urge you to question your words and your actions. Are they hurtful, derogatory, belittling, or just downright ignorant? Consider those questions. And that goes for everyone, whether you disliked or liked the film it doesn't matter; there is no excuse. What happened to the days when we could all be excited together? When it didn't matter which company was making what but the very fact that comic book movies were being developed and brought to fruition was in itself a win for us all? Maybe that day never truly existed, maybe it will never come to pass.

Honestly, this site makes me question humanity, common sense, and just general respect in the world sometimes.

Ah well...
