Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to hit theaters in just over two weeks' time, and Marvel Studios has now shared a new TV spot featuring some intriguing new footage.
Some of the shots have carried over from the recent final trailer, but we also see Namor ponder whether "Wakanda is an ally or an enemy," as Shuri responds by telling him (for all intents and purposes) to f-around and find out!
The promo also includes a brief shot of the new Black Panther reaching for T'Challa's mask. Marvel hasn't made it official yet, but short of some masterful misdirection, we can't imagine Wakanda's new protector turning out to be anyone but Shuri.
We learned that Rihanna's new song for the Wakanda Forever soundtrack, "Lift Me Up," will debut this Friday, and we now have some more details. According to an official press release, the tune was "written as a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman by Tems, Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna and Ryan Coogler. The song was recorded in five countries and was produced by Göransson."
Be sure to check back on Friday to have a listen, and keep an eye out for the first social media reactions, which should be online early tomorrow (follow me on Twitter for my thoughts).
In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena, and Alex Livanalli.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on November 11.
