BLACK WIDOW Star David Harbour Has An Idea Where Red Guardian Was During The Events Of AVENGERS: ENDGAME

None of Black Widow's characters were part of Avengers: Endgame's massive final battle, but it turns out David Harbour has some ideas for Red Guardian's whereabouts during the events of the epic movie...

It's already been confirmed that Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova will return in the Hawkeye TV series coming to Disney+, but there's been no word on plans for other Black Widow characters like Red Guardian. Actor David Harbour has already discussed a potential meeting with Captain America, but why wasn't Alexei Shostakov part of that epic final battle in Avengers: Endgame

During a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Harbour revealed that he's spoken to Black Widow director Cate Shortland about exactly that, and it seems they both have some ideas.

"I mean, the fun thing about this entire thing is that we go back and we build out this structure for something new," Harbour started. "So all this new content with a lot of information about the movies that moves forward with these other projects, the new Phase. And you also get to introduce these new characters. Cate Shortland and I had all kinds of speculations about where Red Guardian is, and what happens to him."

"There were a lot of fun ideas that we had, but I haven't asked [Kevin] Feige himself. I'll do that later."

Something tells us Harbour already has an idea of what the future holds in store for Red Guardian, and it would be nuts for Marvel Studios to introduce all these characters and do nothing with them.

There are a lot of other heroes who were missing from Avengers: Endgame's final act (where were Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, for example?), and while we're unlikely to get explanations for all of them, it would be pretty cool to learn that Red Guardian was off on some sort of mission for Natasha Romanoff.

Black Widow is set to be released in theaters and on Disney+ on July 9.
