CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD And THUNDERBOLTS Rumors Reveal How The Movies Were Once Connected

Some intriguing new rumours about Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts have surfaced, claiming that at least some of the connective tissue from the latter movie has recently been removed...

With the Multiverse Saga comprised of so many movies and TV shows, it's begun to feel like none of them are as connected as the stories told in the Infinity Saga.

There's an element of truth to that, primarily because of overlapping production schedules (Sam Raimi, for example, didn't get to see WandaVision before working on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness). However, at least a few of those lingering questions from Phase 4 now look set to be addressed during Phase 5.

Captain America: Brave New World is expected to finally touch on the massive Celestial sticking out of the Indian Ocean. As for Thunderbolts, it very much looks like a direct follow-up to Black Widow and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Time will tell, but a couple of reliable social media scoopers have weighed in on how those two movies won't connect.

We've previously heard that both projects would link up in various ways, but it appears Marvel Studios has since dialled back on those plans. For example, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is no longer set to appear in the next Captain America movie, with Thunderbolts' latest writer, Lee Sung Jin, seemingly making big changes to the script after being tapped for a rewrite.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing, and we're sure there will still be plenty of connective tissue; after all, it's impossible to imagine the Thunderbolts team not being named after General President "Thunderbolts" Ross!

It's also recently been claimed the Thunderbolts will be the MCU's take on the Suicide Squad, with Val assembling them to take down The Sentry. And yes, that means we should brace ourselves for some big casualties.

Captain America: Brave New World is currently set to be released on July 26, 2024, with Thunderbolts scheduled to follow on December 20, 2024.

I don't think connectivity is issue with current Marvel. It's nothing matters in my opinion approch they have used from Endgame.

With superhero movies you know at the end title character would be fine and now you have characters which are dead coming back. Any normal person will lose interest in such stories.

This is even hiring DC and Marvel both. You know at the end of Shazam 2, Blue beetle, The Marvels title characters would be fine. This removes any stake from movies.

@MartianManHuntr - If we're being fair, the title character almost always lives in every movie ever made, with very few exceptions.

@MartianManHuntr - I kinda think that goes hand in hand with the lack of connectivity.

For example, we have the celestial from eternals digging out of the planet with his head and hand sticking out and visible from orbit. Yet nothing is ever made of this in other movies.

The consequences are nonexistent because the other movies don't even bother with basic connections.

@CorndogBurglar - I was making this point specifically for The Marvels. Even though there are 3 title characters, all 3 would be safe.

Marvel has lots of characters in movies at this point, even some who don't have anything to do at this point like Loki, Bucky to name a few, they should kill at least 1-2 characters each movie now. This will make movies with some weight and stakes to care about.

@Origame - Problem is, Marvel will mention any such event in one line in any movie and fans will point out that as connectivity. That's not connectivity in my opinion. For example if they want to show connectivity for New Captain America they should show how Sam deals with world when they accuse him of colluding with Terrorists.

@MartianManHuntr - I agree, but they aren't even doing that.

@MartianManHuntr - No you weren't just talking about The Marvel's. You were talking about Superhero Movies in general. It's very clear.

@CorndogBurglar - All superhero ensemble movies be it justice league, first suicide squad, all guardians movie, Avengers will have each and everyone unscathed. The Marvels is going to be same, ensemble movie with all characters fine at the end.

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier was shite, not as bad as She-Hulk but definitely one of the worse.

That's why I'm not expecting much from these two movies

@HammerLegFoot - Changing cool Captain America villain Flag Smasher into a young girl, constantly going on about a f*ckin boat, turning Bucky into a pussy, that terrible speech in the final episode. It was just poorly written all round.

Steve Rogers is the one true Captain America, even when Sam wears the colours he still Falcon Cap.

“…it's impossible to imagine the Thunderbolts team not being named after General President "Thunderbolts" Ross!”

It really isn’t. The name originally had nothing to do with him in the comics, and I can’t recall him ever being referred to as “Thunderbolt” in the films so it wouldn’t even mean anything to general audiences.
