Meanwhile, local sources of The Daily Superhero have seemingly confirmed directors Anthony & Joe Russo will soon shoot scenes “on the Fairview Bridge and a giant green screen will be placed on the side of the bridge so Marvel Studios can CG a background into the scene(s).” Also, the folks at On Location Vacation have spotted one of The Winter Soldier’s base camps at “the Metro Green Line Train Yard(14500 Aviation Bl/Rosecrans) in Hawthorne, CA.” What do you think?

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” picks up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014. In addition to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on other iconic Marvel characters including “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

I am really stoked for Cap 2. Winter Soldier, Crossbones, Falcon, SHIELD, did I say Winter Soldier. The only worry is the Russo Brothers helming a big part of a comic book cinematic universe.

I really think the Russo bros will deliver the goods. I mean I'm not super confident like I know for sure they can't do no wrong, but I believe that if they got the gig it must be for a GOOD reason. Yeah they only made 3 flicks (and I for one think Welcome To Collinwood was pretty cool), but I remember Jon Favreau didn't have a solid track record to make you go "Oh he's the guy to make a great Iron Man movie, alright!" Some also doubted Whedon with the Avengers because he never handled something of that magnitude before.

The Russo bros have some geek cred with Community, and an alleged 60.000$ comic book collection, and Steven Soderbergh praises them as much as he doesn't care about superheroes in the first place. So I remain optimistic about this Winter Soldier thing and its pair of directors.

Kingdork - you could not have said it any better!

I for one am a huge Community fan and know what the Russo bros are capable of. One thing you forgot to mention is this is also Marvel Studios, and they definitely know what the [frick] they are doing.

Also Robert Redford brings instant cred to the project. Jus sayin.

I am so cool with this film now that I've seen concept art and know they're attracting credible acting talent like Robert Redford.

Hey, I'm 5'9" and in the age range. Not extremely skinny, but I'm not exactly big either. I could go for it. Only problem is.... I don't live anywhere near Ohio. Anyone want to buy me a plane ticket?

I have confindence in the russo bros, im certian they will give us a fantastic movie. Two reasons why i think that, 1st, they have more directing experiance than jon faveru had before he did iron man and james gunn. Plus i love community and happy endings and their work on that is great, yea they directed you me and dupree but who would of guessed the guy who directed elf and zathura would go on to direct iron man and the guy who directed slither and super (awesome) would go on to do a space epic . 2nd they are huge fans of captain america and thats an ace in my book, the last time they got a fan to direct a movie we got the avengers, and we know epic that turned out.

that concept art looks freakin' awesome. after watching the community series by the Russo's i am more convinced that going the unconventional choice maybe right for Cap2 as it's director. now i'm hook to that comedy series as well.
