OSCARS: Comic Book Movies Are Eligible For Original Score and Original Song Nominations

A number of comic book movies have made the list of 79 original songs, and 114 original scores currently in contention for an Oscar nomination. The list includes Captain America: The Winter Soldier, X-Men: Days of Futures, and more.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has unveiled lists of the eligible contenders in the Oscar races for Best Original Song and Best Original Score. In the former category "Immortals" from Big Hero 6 and "It's On Again" from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 are both elligible.

For Best Orginal Score Henry Jackman is elligible for his work on Big Hero 6 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. John Ottman and Marco Beltrami are both up for the category for X-Men Days of Futures Past and Snow Piercer.

But yeah, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is utter shit and I hope Sony just goes and dies in a hole. Even though Marvel Studios sold their Spider-Man rights at a low point in their company history, they need it back ASAP with they money they're raking in.

Their Bond 24 script was shitty as well.

Age of Extinction primarily used tidbits from the same [frick]ing song throughout the entire movie. Jablonsky's work was barely focused on.
