We have yet to see what Hugo Weaving will look like as The Red Skull, but this may be our first glimpse as these concept designs have gone online..

What do you think? The art certainly resembles the previous leaked pics of Cap himself which turned out to be legit. It's interesting that in the image on the right Red Skull is holding the Cosmic Cube as he was shown ding in his human form in the recent pic posted my DCMF. But it could still be some fan art made to look like the real thing. If on the other hand these are legit, expect Hugo Weaving to look something like this when he is finally unveiled in live action as the villainous Red Skull. Confirm or debunk below.

Update: I have confirmation that this is indeed official concept art for Red Skull. But there is a bit of hulabaloo brewing about them being leaked so I'm not sure how long this will stay up.

So, how do you think they are going to make him see believable? i mean, a guy with a red skull face walking around?? it going to be a mask? or a burned face? what do you think? from the story point of view...

this is awesome hopes it real. The only reason i think it may be FAKE is how the cube closely resembles mjolnir blue lightning effect, making me think someone could have cut it from there. but idk looks great tho

so was that the cosmic cube in the thor trailer cos it was alot bigger than that and slightly green if i remember. anyone have any guesses ??

Good find Ror. This certainly looks to be the same style as the Cap concepts.

After all these years following Cap I just now realised something. If RS has no lips, he would not be able to properly form his words and in essence would be a hairlip. I wonder what a power crazed Nazi hairlip would sound like.

Btw ...the suits piping pattern makes the images already seen of Hugo, but they don't have red piping

I believe Joe Johnston said we were going to see what the Red Skull was going to look like at the beginning of the year, so I think this could be legit.

I think its kind of cool that they kept the close to the comics. Its going to be cool to see if they can pull it off :)

Looks like the Red Skull. How can you argue with that? Really, its closer to the comics than there Cap design is. If it is a fake (doesn't look like it to me) they did a great job of making it look like it was produced the same way as the legit Cap art.

I worry about this movie. I guess I just haven't seen a preview yet. Like I was super worried about GL, then the preview really helped.

Glad they kept it so close to the comic, but kinda dissapointed the didn't try and make it at least a little bit realistic at the same time. I mean won't the audience laugh themselves silly when they see a guy with a RED skull for a face?

That was the Casket of Ancient Winters seen in the Thor trailer. The casket contains the Fimbulwinter of Ymir, the king of the Frost Giants and enemy of Odin.

I still say the cube somehow turns his face into a red skull, and I believe these are real. The one on the left looks like this recently released image:



and the one on the right looks like what Schmidt is wearing in the picture of him and Arnim Zola with the ray gun.
