Hey guys, go read my article. The Spider-Man reboot might be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Did anyone else get excited just a tiny bit thinking the title of this news post meant both Cap and Thor like together in the same pic? lol

I think the lighting in the room he is in makes it look so off. The pic has been a issue of great debates on the other posting of it. I think he is running and and about to leap the rail he's holding on to. I could be wrong though.

@Deadghoul

Those two pics that you posted are of him in the USO uniform.

Biggcess @ I think you're spot on about that Cap pic. He is moving, whilst being lit from behind and below - whilst a seperate lighting source is dealing with the background.

Knowing how great Joe Johnson is at getting his 'look' I am sure this is all part of the cinematic photography he is using to give it that 1940's look. It won't surprise me if the film has that slightly washed out look that the colours of Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers had.

The lighting reminds of the way they lit black and white movies of the 1930's and 40's.

Also this still photo could have been taken by the on set photographer rather than being a still taken from actual movie footage.

Why does Thor have red glove things on?

Deadghoul - In the pics you posted he is wearing the USO uniform underneath the leather. It supposedly will look similar to his comics uniform. This will be his first uniform in the movie which is why he is carrying his original shield. He then gets the upgraded suit and shield from Howard Stark. Presumably he will get another upgrade for the Avengers film.

Those guys in the back are Hydra goons. Their helmuts are almost identical to the Hydra bikers that chase Cap at some point in the film.

I may be way behind the 8 ball on this one so Im sorry if this has already been said but in the first cap pic it seems like cap is standing in the middle of a circle of hydra henchmen ... could he be about to boomerang that shield around and take them all down with one shot?

I am pretty sure he will have his modern costume at the end of Captain America. I can't wait to see what that one looks like.
Great stuff

The costumes look cool. I hope both films have a good story.

Very nice indeed! Both films will be fantastic, they should have waited to release Iron Man 2 after the Avengers, that way all first films would be fresh on our minds so to say.

Those black soldier dudes in the background have armored penis protection cups on but Captain America doesn't. He best keep his shield close to him. I'm just saying. Super soldier or not, I wouldn't want to get shot in the jewels.

@ladder7:

That would be because, in the real world, leather face-masks don't stay on people's heads without some assistance, and a guy running around fighting Nazis and other assorted world-beaters both hand-to-hand and at a distance probably wants something keeping those floppy pieces of flesh attached to his cranium.

Just saying.

I think I must be the only one who thinks captain america looks very corny like GI JOe...I hate his costume i mean it looks like they stuffed his shoulders with cheap foam... I mean I enjoy the Marvel movies but latley they've been going as cheap and as fast as they can without thinking about the scripts theyve just been rushing stuff out

@FrankGarret - cool job. Digging the darker blue. Since I don't have photoshop, have you thought of coloring in the brown leather ear-guard blue? I'm curious what that would look like.

I'm kind of glad that this isn't the modern costume. I remember an article posted on this site once about how the costume is going to evolve through out the movie.Also I think that this move is going to have a bit of a styles retro film look to it, sort of like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. I think this movie will be good. But I also think that with the expectations being ridiculously high, folks are probably going to be disappointed.
