Thanks to the keen eye of fellow CBMer Zarina Romanoff, the official site promoting Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger and it's partnership with Wrigley Gum has been activated. Essentially offering $100,000 to those you can win the "Red Skull Hunt," with failed attempts, on that quest I stumbled across a few new movie images. Featuring the first look at Derek Luke as Gabe Jones, a new look at the rest of the Howling Cammandos, Howard Stark and of course Cap, check them out below!

To began your hunt for the Red Skull, be sure to collect Wrigly Gum bottles, and save the codes under their top; you're gonna need them. And when you do that, head over to Captain America Quest!

Captain America: The First Avenger focuses on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes and Peggy Carter to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull. Starring Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hayley Atwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Stanley Tucci and Hugo Weaving, the film releases July 22, 2011.

so...Howard Stark created Vibranium? i thought he couldnt finish the 'formula' and Tony created the element? (im assuming it's 'artificial' Vibranium since Wakanda has 'real' vibranium.

Nice good looks at Bucky's costume there, at the far right in both the first and second photos. (Assuming you don't change the order on me AGAIN :p)

Liking it.

@TorturedXGenius: It just says that Stark designed the Shield from Vibranium, not that he created Vibranium itself.

Really don't like how Cap's shield is damaged in each picture. I know it's more realistic but still, not a fan

I like the 40's feel of the movie and the nod at The Black Panther, we see The Howling Commandos and that is a lot of gun holding

Cool, NOW SHOW ME THE GOD DAMN FULL USO COSTUME ALREADY!!!

I want to see how ridiculous the classic Cap outfit looks in real life!

TorturedXGenius - 6/7/2011, 10:05 PM
oh ok @Sagemod mis-read so im assuming he got it from Wakanda/T'Chaka & wanted to replicate the element somehow but couldnt thus Tony did

@ Commander cool: It's not damaged. That's more or less impossible. That is where the paint has been scorched off from taking fire. The red and blue are obviously painted on

This movie is gonna look exceptional! Hope they mention Wandaka!

So I take it that Bucky is a member of the SSR alongside Peggy and not just a regular troop from the USArmy? I'm making these judgements by look at his costume compared to the Commandos, it's much closer to Peggys and not just army fatigues

Also anyone notice how that pin on Buck's arm looks EXACTLY like the wings on Caps helmet?!

These ads that cover 20% of the images are KILLING Me! They always cover up the text and on an iPhone the tiny (x) is near impossible to click without launching the ad which makes me have to back out of mr rss feed and reload the whole damn thing! It's almost to a point where it's not worth coming here anymore! I hate to bitch about things seemingly so trivial but I can't be the only one who has a problem with this!?

@eoin. I agree about the ads. I use my phone too

@blades. You are a prize helmet

Pictures look ace. We should remember when disliking the suit that it will get an update in The Avengers.

Pretty boring stuff. July is right around the corner. They might want to start presenting more exciting material if they want people to go see this. They have the fanboys in the bag though. Apparently they're amazed at Chris Evans looking at a map. They need to get the rest of the world on board with more than cliche armature shit like "I'm just a kid from Brooklyn".

@Rulk. Don't worry. There's a good chance Cap will be recast and rebooted after this comes out. I'd bet money on it.

It said " from a rare metal called vibranium" from this I am assuming stark doesnt create it. which only makes me giddy as I am taking it as a black panther reference

Nice pics. I've been wanting to see more of Dum Dum.

Why does everyone believe the element Tony created in IM2 was Vibranium? The name of the new element was never mentioned. Was it named in one of the blu-ray extras?

@VanCityKid

I think the Invaders are all members of the SSR. None of them wear the same uniform either.
JackBauer
JackBauer - 6/8/2011, 6:46 AM
Did anyone else notice that Bucky, in the top pic, and Dum Dum, in the next to last pic, both have wing patches on their left sleeves? That must be the Howling Commandos/Invaders unit patch, and sorta explains why Cap would have wings on his helmet.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOO EXTREMELY EXCITED ABOUT THIS MOVIE !!! It's gonna have so many levels of AWESOMENESS !!!
Starlight
Starlight - 6/8/2011, 8:37 AM
@ TorturedXGenius - It says "Howard Stark DESIGNED Captain America's shield FROM a rare metal called Vibranium..." it DOESN'T say "created"....
FrankGarret
FrankGarret - 6/8/2011, 8:56 AM
@JackBauer

You can see the same wing decal on pre-serum Steve's sleeve during the superbowl tv spot. Its probably an SSR thing. Still cool, though.

WWII, but where are swastikas? I thought Red Skull is Nazi.
In First Class there was even coin with swastika, that was true of WWII.
