Marvel72 - if they're smart, they'd get disney to put in front of Pirates of the Caribbean.

I realise everyone has an opinion but if you viewed Thor as a let down then maybe you should give up on any Marvel movies coming out.

Disney issues an edict ruling that all Marvel superhero content must originate from the US.
Frick Marvel!
I've always prided myself on not being partisan and buying whatever comic I liked regardless of publisher,but if Marvel/Disney want to be narrow minded pr*cks,frick'em.They won't see another penny of my money :@

I have a feeling the only reference to Nazis is either by referring to Hitler by name or Nazis by name... Hopefully we will c Cap kick some Nazi ass though, it'd b pretty damn stupid not 2 include them :(

Hydra is a faction of the Nazis, I'm not sure what they're going to do with that though, I thought I read somewhere that they werent going to gloss over that fact though. I think they did a pretty good job of making something that looked completely stupid( green and yellow hydra soldiers) and making it look at least a little viable. Just like the bifrost bridge.

Meant the overall look of the soldier. The green is apparent but it's a darker shade, along with the tech that you mentioned. Pretty cool looking helmet he has there.

Dang, that audio makes my crotch crabs crawl! (try saying that 5 times fast)

If Hitler looks as eerie as he did in Valkyrie then I think we're all in for a treat.

@TheIntruder

He doesn't say Fuhrer. I've read descriptions of the footage, and the people who saw it don't describe Hitler ever being in that scene. What sounds like him saying "My Furher" is actually him just saying "Have you?" in a low grumbling voice. Trust me.

You're right about that first part though.

I doubt that Disney intervened in the way that you think. Touchstone is a subsidiary of Disney as well, and they produce lots of rated R films. Besides... Nazis WILL appear in the film. So either way, children are going to be exposed to them.

looks like the comic ones, except with more armor, which makes sense, and black colourscheme instead of looking like terrorist gummy bears.
This movie looks great!

Also, Im guessing Johann Schmidt starts off as a Nazi and eventually creates HYDRA as Red Skull

@Indo
I've been a fan of Thor,Spidey,and the X-Men for around 20 years and comics for 28 plus and have genuinely liked Marvel's movie output of late (Which is in no small part due to people from other countries outside the U.s' involvement).I've just read the story about Disney's edict and it's p*ssed me off.So from today I won't spend a penny on them.That to my mind is a pretty direct intervention on my opinion of Marvel/Disney.Sorry Disney/Marvel.
Not certain where your reference to Nazi's came from...? I didn't mention them.
SmokinIndo
SmokinIndo - 5/11/2011, 3:25 PM
@ACira

In the Captain America: First Vengeance comics (which is a tie-in to the movie), it specifically goes over Red Skull's origin, and he does start out as a plain, old Nazi in the MCU. He ends up murdering the head of the Nazi Storm division and then reforms the stormtroopers into his own HYDRA faction. It's pretty cool stuff.

Sad day . . . Hitler would've made my day being in this movie. Finger's still crossed though!

And after staring at this pic for long enough, I think it takes place in the same scene with the pic of Cap standing in the wreckage.

Sorry. I must not have read your comment and just assumed that you were talking about Hydra being the main villains.

That's an interesting... and sad... development. I'm gonna wait for the official announcement to come out before forming an opinion, though. I'm sure there's an explanation for it.

Amazo. Yer full of shit. Even if you actually think that now you wont when you cool off. Not that your amazing irrational one man boycott/protest will do a damn thing.
