The Huffington Post caught up with Scarlett Johansson yesterday to discuss her new partnership with SodaStream International Ltd, and amid the interview, the actress ended up talking about playing Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow as a supporting character in both Iron Man 2 and this summer's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. “My first Marvel film was Iron Man 2 and then we did The Avengers and then Chris Evans and I did Cap 2, but I think that film, there's a couple of new characters,” she replied when asked how the Marvel sequels differ. “The Falcon is a new character in that, and of course Sebastian Stan is kind of continuing his character, obviously he's playing the Winter Soldier. But these characters really kind of take on something bigger than they've ever seen, so I think it's something that they can't do without each other. In that sense, we were in it, kind of neck-and-neck, and it's a bigger responsibility. But then again, even in "Avengers 2," we all play in it, it's not like, "Great, I'll be booking, like, two days a week and then be eating sandwiches the rest of the week." No, it's on. We all are fighting in it together, we're all fighting our own battles and our own demons and it's a lot of dramatic work, and the physical part of it, so the films all have their own challenges, but it's fun.”

Speaking of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, for which Scarlett Johansson has received her copy of Joss Whedon's script, her co-star Mark Ruffalo recently revealed that he'll start shooting the anticipated sequel in April despite principal photography starting in March. Also, Latino Review's Elmayimbe has revealed an interesting tidbit about his role as Bruce Banner aka The Hulk. What do you think?

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014.

Hawkeye>Black Widow

WHERE THE [frick] IS HAWKEYE??!! Show him some love. They better explain his absence in this movie.

I actually kinda hope he left SHIELD. Never liked the idea of that.

And when I say the idea of that, I meant him being an agent of SHIELD.

Could Hawkeye be in AntMan???

If it's a heist film and Pym asks for help getting his gear from Lang then maybe Hawkeye could play a role.

Why do they need to explain where Hawkeye is?

-In Iron Man 2, Widow was undercover at Stark Industries.
-In Thor, Hawkeye was off with Coulson's team.
-In the beginning of the Avengers, Widow was on a mission in Russia and Hawkeye was working at the Tesseract Facility.

Why can't he just be off on some other mission? Shield is still operating under business as usual.

She needs to do a hard R film & really show some nudity.
Do it before she's too old & starts to fall apart.
Serious actresses do nude stuff all the time & it's not disrespectful.
Its hot as hell!

Oooh, nice Hulk info.

Also guys, I think this interview was mistranslated... I don't think Scarlett was referring to A2, she was just saying

"But then again, even in Avengers too,"...

Wtf, why does the filming date for Age of Ultron keep getting pushed? First it was March, then February, then January and now April?

Wouldn't Antman' lose fingers if he tried that on Hawkeye's arrow?
XelCorp
XelCorp - 1/11/2014, 2:29 PM
@MrCBM56- Even if it is two years, it's possible that he could still be coming back out of a shell after being mind controlled by Loki. In The Dark World Selvig was acting kind of nutty even though it's been roughly a year after.. For Hawkeye it could have taken a different turn.. He also did kill a lot of people he shouldn't have killed so it may be worse for him. If not that then he could be on missions else where, allowing them to bring in Falcon.. Having Falcon, Cap, Blackwidow AND Hawkeye would be too much for a solo flick Imo

SpideyQuad - 1/11/2014, 2:29 PM

@ALmight

I'm just confused because sometimes it's coming from the same person. Scarlett said a few months ago that she was starting in January and then I think she said March with Jackson. Evans said March, later Feb (well could be late Feb early March...).
