The Marvels film is set to greet MCU fans with a new ensemble of superheroine's -- starring Brie Larson's Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani's Ms. Marvel, and Teyonah Parris' Photon.
So far, both released trailers have indicated colorful action, fun character interactions, and a whole lot of wacky moments all throughout; which The Marvels director, Nia DaCosta, has touched upon in her recent interview with Total Film Magazine, promising a very silly film.
“I think superhero fatigue absolutely exists. The biggest difference from the other MCU movies to date is that it’s really wacky, and silly. The worlds we go to in this movie are worlds unlike others you’ve seen in the MCU. Bright worlds that you haven’t seen before.”
DaCosta has also hailed working on The Marvels to be a much better experience tonally and spiritually than her other credited projects:
“It’s a lot less traumatizing to work on for sure...[laughs]... But this movie also deals with specific, personal, sometimes sad things. But no, it’s been nice to work in a different world for sure.”
Based on from what we have seen so far from The Marvels, Iman Vellani's Ms. Marvel will be sure to steal the show, as she is a massive superhero fan, and even more so, a Captain Marvel fan.
Seeing Ms. Marvel working with her all-time super idol is sure to spark some hilarious moments between the two character's, so get ready!
The Marvels releases in theaters on November 10th, 2023.
