Chained to the Grave #1 is out now, and IDW promices that it's one of a kind artwork, visual style, and non-stop action will be a hit with mature audiences. Did we mention that it's set in the Old West and includes murder, magic and supernatural weirdness?!

If that doesn't pique your interest, the creative time behind the 5-issue series surely will. Brian Levl (Darth Vader, Thanos, Deadpool) and Andy Eschenback (Heavy Metal Magazine, Red Shoes) have put pen to paper as co-writers, while Kate Sherron (Invader Zim, The Amazing World of Gumball) is handling the artwork.

We've included both covers for issue #1 of Chained to the Grave below! You can also preview the book by heading over to IDW's Chained to the Grave page!

But Roy, trying to do right by the wife and children he left behind, soon finds out that everything is not always as it seems…

Sounds pretty interesting actually. I don't read many actual comics anymore, but if I did, I might check this one out.

Just flipped through it. It's ... okay? I can't think of any reason not to read all five issues, but I also can't really come up with a pitch to convince someone to read it either. The premise is interesting but it didn't have a real hook to it, and I'm a pretty common-denominator type of reader so it's not like it takes much.

Maybe it was the near-miss necrophilia scene.
