MARVEL have released a few penciled pages from New Avengers #18, as well as a few brief details courtesy of writer Brian Michael Bendis as you can see in the excerpt below. There's much more to be found over at the site, so be sure to click on the link below to head on over there. While I can't deny that I'm intrigued by this concept (and I did enjoy the previous Dark Avengers series a great deal) am I the only one who misses the days of Norman Osborn being a Spider-Man villain? We saw very little interaction between the two during "Dark Reign" and I can only hope this is rectified in the upcoming arc.
"Norman Osborn will be breaking out of jail in spectacular fashion in NEW AVENGERS #16.1 drawn by comics legend Neal Adams," foretells writer Brian Michael Bendis. "It will launch a very large, very epic rebirth of H.A.M.M.E.R. in both NEW AVENGERS and AVENGERS."
"In NEW AVENGERS the reconstituted Dark Avengers will be assembled and putting together a plan that will knock the New Avengers on their collective butts. While in AVENGERS, H.A.M.M.E.R.—which will be a mixture of Hydra, A.I.M., and the Hand—will be putting together their plan, going right after Captain America and his position as the top cop the world."
