Depending on who's inking Khoi Pham's art can look really different a lot of the time. This looks great. I dont read Scarlet Spider but they have a good creative team.

Anyone recommend this? I mainly read Ultimate and dabble in Avenging and Superior and am intrigued by the character...

Scarlet spider is the best spider book of the last 12 months. I would really recommend it

The other as a story arch by MJS before he left amazing Spider-Man and they starting printing all the crap which has ultimately has left us with slott bastardising Parker. God only knows how epic MJS 's run Wong have been

This pisses me off on so many levels. Not because its bad, it's fantastic. It pisses me off because the other storyline got retconned like the rest of JMS' run because of one more day. So all of spider-man's evolutions like the organic webbing, stingers, and night vision never happend. Now they are doing this which makes everything one more day did even less unwanted and unneeded (if that's possible).

Not digging the whole Kaine turning into a spider thing. I liked it better before. Another Marvel line ruined and dropped.

@ MrDonut - I highly recommend this series!!!

The whole superior Spider-man is an attempt to make Spidey more darker and grittier...

But Marvel didn't need to do that as they already had a dark and gritty Spider-man right here with Kaine...

@TelaVizion sorry man but then hope you read nothin but Venom Comics for the rest of your life, cuz I HATE Ock in Parker's body!!!

I also wish that they had let Peter keep these abilities after One More Day. I liked them so it'll be interesting seeing how Kaine deals with this stuff. He's grown on me as a sorta good guy.

It's very likely that Kaine reverts back to his human side after the arc.

Whoah, wait. Huh? I though that The Other was retconned out of existance (along with Peter's extra powers). So how is it showing up here? So is this just The Other's "new" first appearnace or what?

I recently read all of Superior, Venom and this, and Scarlet Spider is definitely the best. (Venom close second...Superior is actually enjoyable too, all you eejits bashing it should give it a try)

But seriously, this book is SO GOOD. Written really well...and c'mon, how is it not obvious that he won't stay like this? Especially if any of you are actually following it..
