As rumors continue to swirl around Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3, which seems more and more like it's shaping up to be an epic multiversal adventure that will tie a bow on Fox's era of X-Men films, we decided to compile a list of everyone we've heard may (or may not) be in the upcoming Ryan Reynolds/Hugh Jackman superhero blockbuster.
Filming on the Shawn Levy-directed threequel is expected to be ongoing until, at least, early September, so expect this list to potentially get even bigger as we head toward the Fall. With the first set photos surfacing this past week - including a first look at Jackman in Wolverine's traditional blue-and-yellow threads - it seems like it's only a matter of time before we're treated with even more fun teases from what could be the most anticipated Marvel film in quite some time.

Deadpool & Wolverine
Yes, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are co-headlining the movie as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, and it's been rumored that the title of Deadpool 3 is actually Deadpool & Wolverine (or some variation of that), but, with Marvel Studios skipping SDCC, we likely won't receive an official reveal until much later in the year.
Status: CONFIRMED
Dopinder & Blind Al
Leslie Uggams returns as Wade Wilson's roommate Blind Al, while Karan Soni is back as everyone's favorite taxi driver Dopinder. The Across the Spider-Verse star recently commented on shooting the third installment. Read more HERE.
Status: CONFIRMED
Vanessa Carlysle
After the previous film killed and resurrected her, fans obviously expected Morena Baccarin's Vanessa Carlysle to have a larger role in the threequel, but when the actress revealed that she and Marvel Studios were far apart on contract talks, there was some doubt cast on whether she'd actually be back. Luckily, however, it didn't take long for those issues to be resolved and she signed on for round three.
Status: CONFIRMED
Colossus
Stefan Kapičić's fan-favorite Colossus returns to lend a hand to Deadpool in his latest adventure, and it seems like there's a good chance we'll see him finally interact with Wolverine and possibly some other members of the X-Men...
Status: CONFIRMED
Negasonic Teenage Warhead & Yukio
Deadpool's other original teammate, Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) is also back, alongside her cheery girlfriend Yukio (Shioli Kutsuna).
Status: CONFIRMED
Cable & Domino Peter W.
While there was some initial buzz that Cable (Josh Brolin) & Domino (Zazie Beetz) would return, Beetz recently revealed that she's not in Deadpool 3, so it looks like we can put that rumor to bed. While her comments could've been a misdirect, the only Deadpool 2 actor we know that's returning is Rob Delaney as Peter W.
Status: CONFIRMED
Paradox and... ?
It's been rumored that new cast member Matthew Macfadyen will be playing Paradox, while Primetime Emmy-nominee Emma Corrin is slated to play the film's lead villain - or, at least, one of the film's villains. Her identity remains a mystery, but it's believed that she's a member of the TVA.
Status: CONFIRMED
Mobius M. Mobius & Miss Minutes
With the TVA expected to play a big part in the film due to Deadpool's time-traveling shenanigans, it should come as no surprise that Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Miss Minutes (Tara Strong) have been heavily rumored to appear, presumably after both survive the events of Loki season two. Owen Wilson was also spotted in London last week, adding more fuel to the fire.
Status: RUMORED
Cyclops
There isn't much to go on, but online scoopers have indicated that James Marsden will return as Cyclops, alongside a few more familiar faces, for what is shaping up to be the grand finale of Fox's X-Men Saga.
Status: RUMORED
Jean Grey
Along with Cyclops comes Jean Grey, with Famke Janssen returning to the role. If this is indeed the grand farewell for the original X-Men saga, it would only make sense for the core four of Hugh Jackman, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, and Halle Berry to return for a curtain call.
Status: RUMORED
Storm
While the returns of Cyclops and Jean Grey are being kept under wraps, Halle Berry recently shared a photo with Storm's iconic white hair, providing what some consider confirmation that she would be back.
Status: RUMORED
Rogue
No one has outright said that Anna Paquin would be back as Rogue, but a photo shared recently by a scooper suggested that the X-Men in the film would wear the classic '90s costumes. Rogue was among those pictured, so putting two and two together, we're going to remain cautiously optimistic that she'll be back.
Status: RUMORED
Beast
Again, like Rogue, Beast was also pictured in the same photo, so there's reason to believe we'll see the blue furball as well. However, whether it's Kelsey Grammer or Nicholas Hoult is another question entirely, although we'd bank on the former.
Status: RUMORED
Gambit
After experiencing delay after delay, it looks like Channing Tatum will actually get a chance to play Gambit in this century, thanks, in no small part, to buddy Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy. He previously worked with them on Free Guy, so it would make sense they'd be able to rope him in for a quick cameo as the Ragin' Cajun.
Status: RUMORED
Professor X & Magneto
No X-Men adventure is complete without one of these two, and it looks like both Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) are back for what could be their last dance as the franchise patriarchs.
Status: RUMORED
Deadpool Corps
With multiple variants of Deadpool expected to appear, it seems like we could be in for quite a treat and many fans are hoping this'll open the door for a Lady Deadpool appearance, ideally played by Reynolds' real-life wife Blake Lively.
Status: RUMORED
Daredevil
There are few rumors that could get us to sit at the edge of our seat, but this one is just big enough to do the trick, as all signs are pointing toward the return of the original Devil of Hell's Kitchen, Ben Affleck. He was reportedly spotted on set and, after that big Elektra news, is now widely expected to also return as Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil.
Status: RUMORED
Elektra
Elektra is back! And, while this one sort of came out of nowhere, it definitely makes sense considering Jennifer Garner's ties to both Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy, who she worked with on The Adam Project.
Status: CONFIRMED
Fantastic Four
For quite some time now, more so after the recent Elektra news, it's been a popular rumor that the original Fantastic Four cast would reprise their roles for the film, with new comic-accurate suits. Jessica Alba's Invisible Woman has been considered the most likely of the four to return, but don't rule out Ioan Gruffudd (Mister Fantastic) and Michael Chiklis (The Thing), although it'd obviously be Chris Evans that would bring the house down if he were to reprise his part as the Human Torch.
Evans and Reynolds have exchanged cameos in Ghosted and Free Guy, and, of course, Evans has a phenomenal relationship with Marvel Studios, so there is definitely a strong chance we'll get a chance to hear him shout "Flame On" one last time in Summer 2024.
Status: RUMORED
X-23 & Old Man Logan
It's been reported that, in addition to Deadpool variants, that we would also see Wolverine variants and that recent "plot leak" seemingly revealed that he'll reprise his Logan role, with Dafne Keen also returning as X-23. We find this one hard to believe, especially considering how revered Jackman's 2017 movie is. Plus, Reynolds also previously stated they wouldn't be touching the timeline of that film at all.
Status: RUMORED
The Illuminati
Ever since the Elektra news, the rumor mill has been churning and the latest is that Earth-838's Illuminati will return with a new roster. We've seen John Krasinski as Mister Fantastic, could we now see Emily Blunt as the Invisible Woman seeking her revenge? As for why they'd be involved in a Deadpool adventure, that remains to be seen.
Status: RUMORED
Doctor Strange
If the Illuminati are back, then it would only make sense they'd have their sights set on the MCU's Doctor Strange, and with Benedict Cumberbatch recently saying he was filming something next year, there's reason to believe he could be in this film, although it does seem like a long shot at best.
Status: RUMORED
Scarlet Witch
After seemingly perishing at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it would make some sense for Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch to resurface here and take her rightful place amongst mutants. A recent Reddit "plot leak" suggested she had a pretty massive role to play in the film, but considering Olsen's star status, we can't imagine the studio would've been able to keep her role a secret for this long. So, we'd suggest tempering your expectations.
Status: RUMORED
William Stryker
Emma Corrin has been reported as the primary antagonist, but online scoopers have suggested there's another force at play. Whoever it may be remains to be seen, but it's expected to be a "familiar" face.
On Saturday night, a new rumor surfaced that X2: X-Men United villain Brian Cox was set to reprise his part as William Stryker - could he be the true big bad of the picture?
Status: RUMORED
Spider-Man
Former Fox exec Tom Rothman infamously didn't believe in Deadpool's box office potential and was reportedly the one behind sewing his mouth shut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He's now in charge of Sony, and has a good relationship with Marvel Studios' boss Kevin Feige, so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that he might be willing to mend fences and lend the original Spider-Man and/or one of his variants to Feige and Shawn Levy for an epic appearance.
It's also been rumored that Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman might cross paths in Avengers: Secret Wars, so what better way to set that up than with an early preview here?
