Hi again guys. Since I've lain out the basic plot in Part 1, here I'll just go into detail on the critters, or "Super-Fauna" themselves. Artist credit goes to the filmmakers of the fan-film, "Godzilla: Heritage".

First off,

Anguirus

An estimated 145 meters long and with a weight of over 800 tons.

A relic of the dinosaur age, Anguirus was a fearsome apex predator. The species' intelligence, agility and aggression put it at the top of the prehistoric food chain - hunting even the mighty Godzilla to appease its ravenous appetite. Possessing formidable natural abilities, Anguirus has become one of the most dangerous Super-Fauna on Earth. With his old foe hunting him once again, the King of the Monsters will face his deadliest challenge yet.

Fire Rodan

"Thought to be a Hō-ō or mythical bird by locals, sightings of Rodan continued to be reported in the volcanic Mt. Aso area with growing infrequency for centuries, becoming an old mountain legend. In 1956, coal mining operations in a local village, uncovered a species of gigantic dragonfly nymphs, or Meganulon. The insects began terrorizing the town and the self-defense force was brought in to eradicate the infestation. Shortly after, an earthquake from the awakening volcano opened hidden pockets throughout the mountain. The Meganulon vanished and soon reports began coming in from the pacific area of unidentified flying objects, missing persons and cattle from Japan and China all the way down to the Philippines. Eventually it was discovered that two Rodan were nesting within the mountain. The creatures took flight, pursued by the defense forces and were engaged within the city of Fukuoka. The super fauna destroyed the city before returning to Mt. Aso, enacting a large death toll. A plan was formulated to trap the Rodan within the mountain by bombarding it. The attack triggered an eruption and killed the two creatures, but not before releasing more of them from beneath the volcano. An investigation afterward revealed that a large amount of contaminated soil from the atomic bombing of Nagasaki had been moved from the city and buried under the mountain, suggesting these rare animals were affected by the radiation. Today, the species continues to exist at-large in isolated flocks in a wide area around the Pacific, male and females will mate for life.They are one of the largest super fauna species, and one of the most dangerous. Since 1956 they have been responsible for a number of human, cattle and even airplane disappearances in areas they inhabit and have been found as far as the western American seaboard. They have also been responsible for occasional attacks in heavily populated areas. Their initial appearance was a catalyst for the scientific community, led by Dr. Kyohei Yamane, to devote more resources and time to studying the ever-emerging super fauna threat and lead to the creation of super fauna biology."

In this film, the Rodan is mutated following an attack by the military, resulting in him crashing into a nuclear power facility, and thus changing his color and giving him an energy beam similar to Godzilla's.

Kumonga

"Another mutation that quickly spread as the result of the Vietnam weather control disaster, Kumonga is one of the deadliest species of super fauna on Earth. As voracious as Kamacuras, these creatures prey on the giant mantises and humans alike. A single adult's web can cover nearly a square mile and just a very small amount of its deadly venom can kill a human being in a matter of seconds. Females could be particularly dangerous to engage, as the species carries dozens of small vehicle-sized spiderlings on its abdomen after they are born. There were many cases of the spiderlings dropping off of the females and swarming ground troops. The species is susceptible to extreme heat. Like the Kamacuras, they continue to exist in managed numbers in the Vietnam Super-Fauna Preserve and venom is occasionally harvested from adults that have been killed for scientific research and Anti-Super-Fauna weaponry."

Kamacuras

"The result of a weather control experiment gone wrong in Southeast Asia, the Kamacuras are an example of local wildlife altered by the deadly radioactive storm created by the failed operation. Reproducing and spreading quickly across the area, the conflict that had been brewing in the region was quickly quelled and resources combined to meet the much larger threat. A United Nations coalition was formed and nations from all over the world sent troops to aid in containing the Super-Fauna outbreak. What followed would turn out to be the deadliest Anti-Super-Fauna conflict in history - the Vietnam War. The species was contained after several years of fighting and small populations continue to exist in an international preserve that makes up a large area of modern-day southern Laos and central Vietnam. The area is under close observation and varying numbers of the Super-Fauna and their nests are destroyed on a regular basis to keep the population under control."

Varan

"A relative of the massive Megalania monitor lizards that inhabited Australia, the Varan species was thought to be an aboriginal myth until weapons testing spurred remnants of the disturbed animals on a path of destruction through the Outback of Sydney in the late 1950's and early 1960's. Just a few cups of the bacteria-laced saliva in Varan's mouth has the ability to wipe out a large populated area and cause death in humans in a matter of minutes if exposed. Although the Super-Fauna were eventually defeated by United Nations forces, the death toll was enormous. Today, a small population of the species resides in a special sanctuary in the Outback, under close international observation."

Mothra

Not much is known about the deity-like creature that Monarch has dubbed "Mothra". Serizawa believes she has something to do with the founding of the organization, but they aren't divulging anything. What is clear, is Mothra's surprising equality in power to the mighty Godzilla, and her apparent sentience.

Well, that's it for Part 2, folks. Stay tuned for PART 3 as I go into detail about the terrifying KING GHIDORAH and reveal my casting decisions for Haruko Mori & Miki Saegusa. For those who didn't see Part 1, look for it in the fan-fic section under the title: "DESTROY ALL MONSTERS" ("Godzilla 2" Sequel Idea) PART 1

The designs are beautiful and your descriptions are so realistic I'd swear they were from a proper nature book about things that really exist. Great work again.

@NovaCorpsFan,

Thank You my friend, though the art credit all goes to the filmmakers of "Godzilla: Heritage". The only part of this concept that I can say is mine is the overall plot idea itself from Part 1. But thanks again for the compliments, and please visit anyone I credit in the articles. ;)

@RedNTheHood,

The description for Mothra is mine, due to the creators of "Godzilla: Heritage" not having any info on their redesign yet. And aside from the bold and italicized Rodan note, everything else is from "Heritage".

My info on King Ghidorah will be all me though. ;)

(BTW, I miss your old avatar. Can't beat Jamie Foxx and Zoe Saldana)

@dracula

It could be that just Mothra & Rodan are in the second, leaving Ghidorah for the third. But as of right now, it seems like all three are in the sequel.

Also, it's unlikely that we'll get a "King Kong vs. Godzilla" remake, as cool as it would be. Legendary is only working with WB for the Godzilla series, and King Kong is solely at Legendary/Universal. But that could change.

And "Godzilla vs. Gamera" will most likely forever be a pipe dream. :(
