Hello and I'm The Comic Critic,
This is a follow up response to the comments I have been getting surrounding the topic of "The Gay Batman" and "The Thomas Wayne Acts". I also feel the need to expand on my ideas much more clear in this part since all was not really sound to some people. Shall I now begin the second part to this most controversial fire of a topic...
Thomas Wayne is an important figure and example to Bruce as demonstrated in the comics. Also as known to basic logic without the murder of Bruce Wayne's parents...no Batman. What I said previously suggesting something behind closed curtains between Bruce and his father Thomas can go a long line to what can be displayed in such a situation. In which yes like all of you said an act of "father and son" loving times, sharing a sweet dark warmth against their own skin which as evil as any sin a man can commit. Infact I never said Thomas was gay, possibly If it ever happens to describe he wanted a whole new experience in the art of love. What else can go on behind close curtains that would effect Bruce so deeply. Maybe instead of Thomas performing an act on Bruce maybe a live farm animal and he was forced to sit and watch this disgusting act in horror. Now you are saying also if Bruce never cared for his father he would not have become Batman. You can say children often forgive parents for doing terrible things, think of the moment where your play toys get stuffed in a garbage bag and your parents telling you to grow up sunshine. Eventually you do grow up and ask yourself what the hell was I doing like a dash of nostalgia sprinkling in the air. To suggest Bruce forgive his father when he become an adult and realizes their are more terrible monsters out their than he was. Maybe one of those animals like I have suggested in the idea above was a Bat, maybe it was always Bats and now he feels sorry for these bats. He thinks if he becomes a Bat he can be strong enough to protect evil than those other helpless bats and become a symbol or beacon of hope within. This may seem such as a radical idea but is change or straying away from the predictable often a good thing to think about. As I have said before it would be a full on battle of emotions colliding together fighting in between thinking I'm I evil or I'm I a good sign of hope. We all know Thomas as the good character but in comics we tend to often write a hero as a villian fighting with good emotions once in a while. It should not be to offend but it should be subtle to the fact this is happening in the world today and we must find a hope of a solution to stop all the madness at once. In truth no one can stop dark acts like this, they make interesting throw away stories to some but it's a real factor that needs to be divulged in at some point in the future.
Now to the subject of "The Gay Batman". There has been subtle hints of his homosexuality in the comics sometimes exploit and sometimes suggestive. We have seen the Batman female love interest formula in "almost" every previous Batman film. It's becoming a circle that's often repeating too much at times. How would a male love interest formula work and how much compassion would be involved. As I have said previously a radical crazy idea but isn't it something new for once. No I believe it would not take away in any viewers. I'm sure alot of people would be interested seeing a homosexual Batman much like a straight Batman. If this were the previous decade or the previous decade before it would not have been widely accepted. But no we are in the day and age where it had become safer to perform in such acts in public and media more. It would be finally the right exposure and time needed to handle such a topic.
Well this firmly concludes Part 2 to my expansion of ideas I had. I know many of you would not agree with me and I understand that. In memory I am further more sorry if it offends anyone deeply here with a strong history of this violent nature I have mentioned in the Thomas Wayne Acts. Hopefully depending if you agree or not you would now see a clear reasoning to what I previously wrote. Thank You.
If you have any suggestions or comments please post in the comments below. I will try to read and respond to them when I have the time.
